  1. Oh that's good to hear, I've got someone to help me out with DDWRT if I ever so so! Thanks everyone! If I probably get a compatible router I'll come back to this thread. Have a great day everyone
  2. Oh cool! That's interesting. Now I guess I have to find what routers could do so and how hard it is... probably easy
  3. Yeah course. Just a question I had. I would wanna see if it's possible though since a lot of videos on YouTube aren't clear on what you can exactly do after modding said routers..
  4. Hey guys, I had a random thought in my head being: "is there any possibility maybe someone could (or if there even is one already) possibly flash a custom OS for BlackBerry devices? Remember, it's the old school ones like the Curves and Bolds. I guess someone who knows programming could make a simple OS for it. Why did I imagine this? I was in my maths class and imagined using an old BlackBerry as a really cool calculator which you can type what you need to get access to it. For example "Pi" for the symbol instead of looking for a shortcut or "6 times 6" to get the answer instead of looking for the multiply symbol. Super weird, and maybe one day it could happen but it's just a random thought I had. Most likely a no but Thanks, Mubeen
  5. I could try booting an old Linux distro. I've only tried newer ones so it's worth a shot
  6. I've tried loading a Linux distro but it just hangs after loading it Live from either USB or CD.
  7. So it is a Patriot 2000 aka ECS G320 laptop equipped with a VIA C3 1GHz processor, 128MB RAM which I think I can upgrade to 256 and 64MB Embedded Castle Rock GFX video memory. Also it shipped with Windows XP if that helps
  8. Hey guys, I'm not trying this out btw. I just had a random thought since I've seen everyone turning their old routers into extenders/access points but I thought that since my USB Dongle is really crap on my PC, is there any possibility to mod a router like install DD-WRT or something similar so I can hardwire the modded router to my PC and it could wirelessly pick up the WIFI signal and connect just like a USB dongle would do? Also, I can live with the USB dongle I have. It's working fine but this is just a random thought I had since if it works I could possibly try it. Many thanks, Mubeen
  9. Hey guys, I am looking for a RAM based OS (for example like Windows PE and utilities like PartedMagic would do). This is a temporary thing just to test out all the functions on an old laptop I bought and since I don't have a hard drive for it yet I wanna test everything out beforehand. My processor in this laptop is a VIA C3, which is i686 based which PartedMagic wouldn't recognise and let me boot from (I tried). So I'm looking for something similar which is compatible, so would anybody be able to point me in the right direction and help me out? Many thanks, Mubeen
  10. I also have another question: what's the applications programmed for it like? I'm guessing of course there will be .exe and other Windows extensions but would there ever be support for Mac and maybe Linux executable support? Mubeen
  11. This looks like an interesting project which I wanna try out. Since I have a YouTube channel once this is somewhat ready to test out, I want to post a video about it on my channel. Since theres a ton of customisation as you state, I'll definitely be looking into that! I just wanted to ask a question though: How far in computer hardware specs would this go in terms of age? (I wanna try this on an old laptop I bought for things like this for YouTube and it's around 15 years old. Its equipped with a 1GHz VIA C3 processor with 128MB RAM with 64MB video memory).
  12. Hey guys, I wanted to ask if there would be a dedicated LTT Forums app, since I use the forum quite a bit and it's kinda annoying keeping your browser open just in case someone replies hearing the notification sound. I guess it's also a little easier doing things on the fly and replying quicker?
  13. In curiosity I searched up the chip and if you want to know the name its PAW3502DL and surprisingly I found data sheets. 454e306d374b2f2b346c466a58495778674b41575a51574e68637a6847587777695337633473736c4a6a436b316c665a6851697349673d3d.pdf
