    Normaly use ddrescue first to make the image. Often when drives are in this state will die soon, so you want to make the image, then run recovery tools on the image, not the drive.

    Recuva's pretty good.

    I mean they don't and can't utilize dual cpu's. 
    And I don't see why they would, games don't need the extra horse power.
