Hi, I'm looking for a router for the apartment that I just moved to. I tried to gather as much info as I could, but if more is needed then please leave a reply.
ISP: Digi Hungary - 1000Mbps (realistic: 870-ish)
So In this new apartment (layout is attached below) we can only put the router in a specific place. The hall would be a better option, but there's no outlets there and my landlord is willing to buy a more expensive router if they don't have to drill the walls. So the goal is to fint a strong enough device.
I used a Tenca AC8 for the heatmap, unfortunately It could only deliver 300 Mbps over WiFi from 1 meter. The computer, that is the furthest from it only got around 40Mbps (2.4GHz). All 3 laptops are 802.11ac capable and they have to be connected through WiFi (Ethernet is not an option sadly). We all need at least 150 Mbps for work and entertainment.
