I have a couple basic questions that have stumped me recently. Recently my memory usage seems to be too high for whats running (even if I restart my entire system). I have ~32 Gb of ram installed but (on startup) around 40% is used, just steam and my virus protection are running. Any reason why so much of my memory is being eaten? I can't even find what is eating all of it on Resource monitor. In addition my task manger shows my ram speed as 1333MHz, but my ram is advertised as 2666MHz (do I need to enable XMP, or is this just something task manger gets wrong).
Thank you for your responses!
*I want to note that my system has not ever blue screened because of memory
