Basically all your parts are pretty decent but if you wait a little longer and have deep pockets, cpu and motherboard would be your next logical upgrade. But where you're at now is already pretty good.

Hi there, just wondering what the difference is between the Seasonic SGX-500 and the Fractal Design Ion SFX 500G are.

I read that the OEM for the 500G is Seasonic and am just wondering if it is just a SGX-500 with Fractal branding, and if there are any feature differences which I should make me use the Seasonic one instead.

Get a Seasonic, EVGA or Corsair if you don't want your PC to blow up or catch fire.

    Go with Seasonic or Seasonic-OEM.

    I'd say one of these:

    Seasonic PRIME GX-750
    Seasonic FOCUS GX-750
    Phanteks AMP 750W
    Antec EarthWatts Gold Pro 750W

Unless you're super rich, the 9900K should be just fine, and not really bottlenecking your GPU.

And also if you don't need PCIe Gen 4

    I modified it so I swapped out the RX 5500 XT for a GTX 1650 and also I swapped the SN550 1TB for a P1 2TB.

OP - you notice another common denominator with all the mice you listed as having issues? They're all Logitech mice. Reason why double-clicks happen on these products is because Logitech obstinately refuses to use the proper voltage/current that Omron specifies for their switches, instead running them on microloads that eventually damage the contacts. This is why many other companies can use Omron switches and have no issues for several years, whereas Logitech is still plagued with complaints.

If that's the one you want to go for. @TheChromaBristlenose made a very good point about the fact the mice you've had have been Logitech. I've only owned one Logitech mouse, and it was only used while browsing, not gaming, so it's usage would be far, far lower than any of my other mice. I'd probably try a different brand.

It should be fine if you're not abusing it over a period of time like that.
If you're really that worried about it, get the mouse from MemoryExpress and get the 4 year IPR.

You could substitute the WD Blue SN550 1TB for a Kingston A400 960GB and save $20, but the WD Blue is worth it IMO (much faster reads and writes).

Also if you are wondering about the CPU cooler, it's using the stock one included with the CPU.

You could also save $5 if you went with a 500W model of the EVGA BQ PSU but, the 600W one was only $5 more so I did that instead (for more expandability for a more powerful graphics card).

You could also save another $20 and get an ASRock B450M PRO4 if you don't need wifi.

You could also save another $20 and go for the 4GB version of the 5500 XT, but I'd recommend 8GB.

Louie Friesen reacted to DAXTER619 in Thinking of buying new gaming laptop; I want it to last a long time
Thinkpads are built extremely robust. The T15g is thick, has a roll cage, is spill proof (has drainage holes for water), made to be serviced, will eventually have tons of replacement parts (since thinkpad is a business-class notebook), and Lenovo customer support is top notch. If you get the 3 year warranty (150 CAD for me), they will send a tech to your home within a week to fix any issues (happened with my old Y50, tech replaced entire cooling system. Took 2 days from complaint to fix).

    As for the Aero:

That's not to say the thinkpad is error free. I'm just saying that are historically known to have robust build quality and excellent customer support.

So i few in accuracy to fix here.

    1) they are not both IPS if one is OLED. One is OLED and one is IPS.
2)Both monitors are not identical. Their specs may be the same or similar but if one is OLED and the other not, then the panels are completely different, with completely different capabilities.
    3) regardless of what type of content u play, be it competitive FPS or non competitive rpgs, a 144hz OLED will have clearer motion than a 240hz LCD (IPS).

Basically, get the OLED. Just make sure u understand that OLEDs can suffer 'burn in', so take steps to alter ur habitual usage accordingly.

its overpriced, but its not bad. Just a downclocked 2070super laptop variant to keep temps down for super thin laptops. shady marketing but not a bad product. if you really want to keep this conversation going, move this to something other than a monitor conversation

I was looking into it and in device manager you can set your USB port that the NZXT plugs into to shut off when the PC sleeps. This article is showing how to do the opposite but you can use it to see how to check what your widows is currently set at.  https://www.pcworld.com/article/3045567/how-to-keep-charging-your-usb-devices-past-your-pcs-bedtime.html

Fractal has 4 SATA connectors instead of 3, and appeared to be 3 decibels quieter in Aris's testing, otherwise they're the same.

    Here are my thoughts:

For the memory, Curcial isn't the most reliable brand (they are still fine), but if possible for a good price, I would try to get Corsair or G.Skill memory.

I'm guessing you are going to be using the stock Wraith Stealth cooler. If you want a better cooler (Wraith Spire), you could get the 3600X if you want.

You'll probably want to get some fans for the front of the case. Either 2x 120mm or 2x 140mm.

Other then that, it looks really good!

Yeah, either one of the Seasonic ones would be a good pick. I would steer clear of the Asus one only because its missing the Under Voltage Protection feature.
