  1. I use G733s and they are amazing. Best bang for the buck wireless headphones ever. I hate wired headphones and avoid them at all costs. Only downside is that if you wear glasses, apparently the RGB is annoying. Also the software is very okayish.
  2. Hi there, Just recently, my "traveling" keyboard (Apple Wireless Keyboard, I use it with a MacBook Pro) died (I mostly used it when I'd go to my parent's farm to work for a couple months, then go back home - I tend to leave it there). I mostly use it with a MacBook Pro, although I'm considering saving up for a gaming laptop (probably a Lenovo Legion) or building another PC. The keyboard that I use most of the time is a Logitech G915 TKL with linear switches. I absolutely love it. I want a similar keyboard for traveling (I can't afford to travel with my G915 TKL - it's too precious to me). I want low profile (if possible) linear keys, and either a TKL or 60% layout. Doesn't really matter if it's wireless or wired. I just want the keyboard to feel good (as similar to the G915 TKL as possible, if possible), and be somewhat reliable. I found a Cooler Master SK630 keyboard which was LP, TKL, and wired, but the reviews said that it had bad QC and also that the keys felt like they hand sand in them and that sometimes it came warped in the packaging. My budget is about $100-160, although if there is one which fits my needs perfectly, I'd consider going over that budget.
  3. Mouse to Razer Basilisk Ultimate Keyboard to Logitech G915 TKL Get some headphones - I'd recommend Logitech G733 if you don't wear glasses
  4. I'd do one of these: Upgrade power supply to a more reliable unit from Seasonic or Phanteks Upgrade storage to a faster SSD (something 3000Mbit/s+), like a WD Black SN750 or Crucial P5. Upgrade CPU to a 3600X if possible Upgrade to higher end ATX motherboard
  5. I'm not saying I want a gaming chair. I'd want a chair and I would use it for gaming and doing other stuff on my computer. I'm saying I'd be fine if it is a gaming chair or looks like one.
  6. Quick note (for moderators): If this isn't the right part of the forum to ask this question on, please don't ban me, please tell me where to ask this question, as this seemed to be the most appropriate spot to me to post this. Hi there, I've been looking for a new chair for my desk (which would be for at home). I currently have a $200 (CAD) Staples office chair, and would like something better. I'm looking for something around $300-400 (CAD). I'd prefer an ergo chair or something like that but I'm totally fine with a gaming chair (ideally I'd get something from Mavix or the Herman Miller Embody chair, but those are too expensive). I want something comfortable, reliable, and good quality, and would like suggestions. Preferably it would be something from within Canada, or relatively cheap shipping to Canada. I'm in no rush for getting one, I'd just like to have one by mid-late July.
  7. What are your peripherals? Your PC looks pretty good. Maybe you could upgrade the cooler to a Noctua NH-U12s Chromax.
  8. Hana sushi in Abbotsford (near Highstreet, or Ra Sushi if you are on the other side of Abbotsford) and Waka sushi (near Sportsplex and the Cineplex) in Walnut Grove/Langley area are some great sushi restaurants Also Jim's Pizza which is on 88th ave and between 204th and 202nd (near an RBC and Subway) is the best pizza place in Langley.
  9. Get a Seasonic, EVGA or Corsair if you don't want your PC to blow up or catch fire.
  10. I'd recommend steering away from that RM850i and going for something like a Seasonic GX-850 or maybe an EVGA 850 G5. (The reason why is because I've found CWT power supplies aren't very reliable, for example, I had an RM850x fail on me about a week ago)
  11. I contacted Corsair a couple days ago and am waiting for a response
  12. It was an RM850x I got just over a year ago. I'm now expecting a Phanteks AMP 550W to come today to replace it and then maybe order a Seasonic GX-850 to replace that and make a secondary system with the Phanteks one.
  13. I'd personally avoid Corsair because I had one fail on me today.
  14. I was just thinking of the PSU because one died on me this morning.
  15. Go with Seasonic or Seasonic-OEM. I'd say one of these: Seasonic PRIME GX-750 Seasonic FOCUS GX-750 Phanteks AMP 750W Antec EarthWatts Gold Pro 750W

  17. First of all, you might have shorted your mobo out on that side panel, because it's metal. ALWAYS put it on a testbench or the motherboard box. Also you built it on carpet, and that's a really bad idea (due to static). If nothing is dead as of now, try bringing the stuff to a room where there is not carpet, look for an outlet and touch the metal screw holding the cover on to destaticisize yourself (each time you enter the room), and then put the motherboard on its box (without the anti static bag inbetween). Try powering on they system. If that doesn't work, make sure your PSU isn't dead, by taking a paper clip and bending it so that one side is in pin 4 (from the left with the clip on top), and the other side in pin 5 (the one immediately to the right of it). The PSU fan should spin up, for at least some time. If it doesn't, then you probably have a dead PSU. If it does, but your system doesn't boot up (try that as well), then you might have shorted out your motherboard or fried something with static.
  18. Unless you're super rich, the 9900K should be just fine, and not really bottlenecking your GPU. And also if you don't need PCIe Gen 4
  19. Hi there, About 6 months ago my RM850x had an issue where it would not turn on and power my computer. I had to wait 3 days for it to function normally again. Then yesterday, I had the same problem, but this time, I just had to do this 4 times: click off PSU, wait 10 seconds, click on PSU, press power button (the first 3 times it did not power on). Then the same thing happened this morning: I tried to wake my computer up from sleep, but noting happened, so I clicked off the PSU and waited 10 seconds, then pressed the power button, and nothing. After trying that for half an hour, I pulled the PSU out, unplugged the cables, pulled out the 24 pin, plugged that into the PSU, grabbed a paper clip, shorted out pins 4 and 5, clicked on the PSU, and nothing happened (except the clicking noise, which is made by some Corsair PSUs). I tried that a few times an no fan spin (I know the RM850x is a zero RPM PSU, but the Corsair website said that the fan should spin for a bit when you turn it on and it is shorted). So, here I am, typing this all out on my really old MBP, wondering what to do now. I don't really want to RMA it, B/C I don't want to pay for shipping, then probably get another RM850x, and get this whole problem over again. Could I sell the PSU to somewhere where they might try to fix it (or even send it to LTT for a video? [I live in the area]) And also, what PSU should I buy? I'm thinking a Seasonic, or Seasonic OEM PSU (i.e. Phanteks). Also, should I get a 1000W for future expansion, or should I just stay with 850W? BTW My computer specs are: Intel Core i7 9700K Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Ultra Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 5700 XT (Special Edition) G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (2x16GB) 3600MHz CL16 Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB WD_Black SN750 500GB Seagate BarraCuda 4TB Corsair H100i RGB Platinum SE (White) Corsair RM850x NZXT H510i (Black) Edit: I found a Seasonic FOCUS GX-850 on Newegg (CA) for $165 (CAD). I think I'll order it. I also found an EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G5 on Newegg as well ($220). Wondering what OEM is more reliable: FSP (G5) or Seasonic (I think Seasonic??) Also, I wouldn't mind having an extra PSU around for doing stuff with (like I could make a really budget PC but have a super OP semi-reliable RM850x in it). Update: I ordered a Phanteks AMP 550W PSU off Amazon with same day delivery. The GX-850 would've come the day after tormorrow, with $8 shipping, so I ordered the Phanteks one for $112. Then I think sometime I'll order a GX-850 and use that in my main PC, and then use the Phanteks one in a second one with an RX 580 I have lying around.
  20. So you think maybe I should look at ones like the Corsair Dark Core Pro RGB, HyperX PulseFire Dart or the SteelSeries Rival 650?
  21. I could get a G703 from MemoryExpress for $91 (CAD) with the 4 year warranty. Looks temping. Edit: https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX77493
  22. How long do you use your mice for on average? I tend to upgrade every 3-5 years, so I'd think that the spring would definitely bend a bit for using it for that long of a time. BTW I don't play FPS games and other stuff that is intense on clicking.
  23. That's a nice looking mouse, and I like the shape. Personally I don't really like holed mice. I'd definitely consider one if there was a version without holes tho (and maybe some RGB)
  24. I modified it so I swapped out the RX 5500 XT for a GTX 1650 and also I swapped the SN550 1TB for a P1 2TB. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/louiefriesen/saved/Bwc9rH
  25. Sorry for the late reply. I'll modify it for more storage and less powerful graphics.
