    Boonandboo reacted to Haro in My new pc motherboard power connector.   
    20+4 is the 24 pin for the board. 
    As for the cpu power only the 8 pin is required (which breaks to a 4+4 on some PSUs).  The extra 4 pin is for heavy overclocking which with Ambient cooling you can't even do. An 8 pin eps provides 384w of power easily.
