I've been having a few issues for the last couple of months where I'll be playing a game & my computer then crashes to a black screen and the fans ramp up. I can't turn off by holding the power button, I have to switch off the PSU.
The PC began doing the same thing when idle/light workload, as well as BSOD which hasn't happened before, so today I've tried to tackle the issue.
Steps tried:
I've tried resetting windows (and keeping files) but that didn't work.
Used DDU in safe mode and it seems to have made the problem worse. I now can't update the graphics drivers.
Windows update won't install latest update.
Attempted chkdsk & sfc but these lead to crashes.
Checked events manager but there are no errors aside from the crash.
Brought my memory down from 3000mhz to 2800mhz (is 3200mhz ram but doesn't run stable at this speed)
I'm at a loss on what to do next. Kind of think it's the gpu dying but want to try everything to fix.
Dump files here from bsod - https://files.catbox.moe/p0edhw.zip
Specs below.
No overclock on CPU or GPU.
B450m ds3h
Nvidia 1660ti (MSI ventus)
Ryzen 5 2600 (stock cooler)
450w PSU (Corsair, bronze rated, unsure on what model)
Vengeance Ram (2x8gb, 3200mhz but running at 3000 before today)
All help is welcomed, thanks so much
