Q1-Q2 2023. Its on their site. Near final production models exist.

Btw all thatbstuff you mentoined IS actively being printed on prusias. You just slice the model, have it have a interlocking infill and put some quick dry low temp epoxy or uv epoxy in the joints (VENTILATE WELL AND USE A RESPIRATOR). Even on printers that can print these fully they are often printed in parts as its far easier for removing supports, uses A TON LESS material, way easier cleanup and if something goes wrong the print isnt a full fail.

Joduko reacted to Middcore in Why are all the MP3 players horribly rated?
I mean, are there common recurring complaints in the negative reviews?

My surmise would be that since most people have moved on from dedicated MP3 players and just listen to music on their phones (not a criticism of your use case just stating a fact), only no-name, corner-cutting companies with no QC are in the market. I mean, of the first page of results on Amazon, the only brand  I've ever heard of here in any capacity is SanDisk, and half the other results are attempts to ape the look of the 4th-gen iPod Nano, many of them clearly the exact same product being sold under multiple different names.

Don't know if they're available in the US but I've had an e-twow Booster S2 for 5 years now, recently looked at the market again and that brand would still be my choice because unlike pretty much everyone else who's going "more power for bigger numbers, but then super heavy" they're very portable at 12-13kg.

judging from my past experiences with open-source devs, I guarantee this got brought up earlier. it took a video from a big channel and relentless mocking to get it changed. hilarious

Yup you need 10 series or newer to turn on Gsync. Your card supports the old Gsync (one with NVidia specific module), not the one that AMD supports for ages.

The idea that soy is harmful to you comes from the bodybuilding community. They saw that soy contains phytoestrogens and because bodybuilders are rarely the cream of the crop when it comes to academia, they simply made the erroneous assumption that phytoestrogens are the same thing as regular old female estrogen, because names that sound similar must mean the same thing, right?

From there it spread into a multitude of communities, mostly neckbeardy incel groups who claim that soy products are responsible for the feminization of modern men. A lot of reactionary grifters jumped on that trend to have another talking point. Ironically, someone like Alex Jones, whose associates like Paul Joseph Watson have been spreading this nonsense about soy being harmful all over the places sells supplement pills that mostly contain soy and other ingredients derived from soy.

Basically, soy isn't harmful for you, with the typical caveat that if the rest of your nutrition is terrible, a bit of soy won't massively improve it and as with everything, you shouldn't exclusively consume soy.

Joduko reacted to poochyena in Amazon in the UK, Wasting 124,000 items a week (tech/consumer waste)
Would love to hear amazon's side of it. There is absolutely good reason to trash things. For electronics, its could be due to the item being faulty (those outlets could have been recalled due to being poor quality and a safety hazard), knockoffs (that drill looked like a knockoff makita drill, might even be the same one project farm tested edit; nvm i can see the box more clearly later in the video, looks like this. but still, could be a knockoff wesco drill.), but idk why the books and some other items would be destroyed.
I think its misleading to suggest ALL of it is destroyed for no reason, but I think its safe to say SOME stuff is needlessly destroyed. Hard to say exactly what the ratio is without hearing amazon's side of the story.

If we only look at new models:
Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 (pro) is pretty good. Just don't know, how expensive it is in your country / your prefered Shops.

The minimum for a full metal body will be the new Lenovo Ideapad 5 with Ryzen 5000 series, i think all those models are full Metal (Last Year's Ideapad 5 had some metal + Plastic models too).

But you can forget this repairability you know from your old Thinkpad. Even modern Thinkpads gotten a bit worse there.

If you want it used, Thinkpad T480/T580 are the first ones with Intel's 8th Gen Quad Cores.
T490 had 400 nit low Power IPS options.
T590 didn't, but it had a 500 nits 4k Panel option. Or else that typical 250 nits variants.

Only scummy companies are scared of unions because they know they won't be able to fuck their staff over anymore. In the UK unions have done a lot of good work especially these days. In the past some got a bad name but these days a lot of unions will really help you out. Companies think twice before fucking you over if you are part of a union. The US could really use with a lot more unions.

Joduko reacted to Dutch_Master in Google employees formally launch new union after pushback from Alphabet
Unions, particularly trade unions, are viewed by corporate America as something Extremely Evil(TM) for their association with dictatorial politics. True, they have been abused by communists, and still are in a way in certain countries, but on the whole, unions are for the better of the company. You need to look no further then Scandinavia, Germany and the Low Countries to see what non-militant trade unions can achieve to further the position of employees while still take in account the needs of the company they work for. Their agreements are based on consensus, mutual respect and a strong sense of joint responsibility for not just the existence of the company but also society as a whole. The Anglo-Saxon model based on egocentric greed and implied disrespect for subordinates doesn't fly here. The economic results speak for themselves: it works

Once you have Windows installed, you can go to Explorer, right click the drive and press format.
Of course, ensure you are choosing the correct drive, since formatting will completely empty the drive; which you obviously don't want to do with a drive where the data on it matters.
