  1. Thank you for this. The video was very helpful. I decided to go with the Tomahawk. As for the CPU, I'm still undecided. 3600 - 220$ 3300X - 190$ 3100 - 125$ 1600AF - 160$ / 145$ ( with GAMMAXX 400) The 3600 is a bit too expensive and the 3300X seems like it's not worth the price over 3100. Getting 1600AF with an aftermarket cooler and overclock it, seems like a better deal. Cheaper than 3300X and I'm getting 2 extra cores. I'll leave this thread for a while if someone else wants to chip in and I'll mark this reply as the solution.
  2. I could add something like the Hyper 212 Evo when I decide to OC or maybe even water cooling at a later date. Would R5 3600 make that much of a difference? If I get that one I would probably not upgrade for quite a while. However, I will have to delay the build a bit to get the extra cash or work a few extra Saturdays. Also, I forgot to mention that I have a 29" 1440p monitor that I'll be using. Although, I'm not that picky about details and FPS, so I think I'll be good. This is what I meant. Seems like B450 won't be supported much longer.
  3. I know but in the past I haven't been able to find anything worthwhile. Either no int. delivery or high delivery fees but I'll take a look at the German one. R5 3600 is about $220 here and I found literally only one Tomahawk for sale here for $140 bucks but I've heard you have to mess with beta BIOS to get the newer gen Ryzen CPUs to work and that they have cooling issues when overclocking. You know anything about that? If this has no merit I'll definitely go with it but I expect this MB to last a while. I'm talking 5 years at least. I don't want to fry it after the 3rd year.
  4. Mostly because any packages delivered outside EU or China gets held in customs and I have to manually release them which is a ton of paperwork and taxes and I have to pay VAT on top of anything that I buy outside EU. Also, sometimes the delivery rates are atrocious.
  5. The haven't mentioned budget as prices are completely different where I'm from but let's say it's about $300-400 bucks for the MB, CPU and RAM. I'll edit the post now to give you some reference. I'm also not able to buy from Amazon, Newegg or similar.
  6. Hi folks, I'm reviving an old system and I have pretty much everything except Mobo, CPU, and RAM. I do have right now an HD7870 which I plan to upgrade to GTX1660 around Christmas / Black Friday and depending on the deals, I might get the Super version. I want a good board that would last me a while and allow me to upgrade in the future. As for features - I only look for USB Type-C and M.2 port, and the room for moderate overclocking. Now, I'm planning on getting a budget CPU and upgrade in a year or two to a higher-end R5 or lower-end R7, nothing crazy. The RAM will be Corsair DDR4, 3000MHz 8GB single stick for now, with another one coming in a few months. The question is do I go with B450 board or jump straight to X570, considering both B550 and X470 are rare here (eastern europe) and not much cheaper (some even more expensive)? TL;DR (budget about $300-400 but I live in Bulgaria, so pricing is weird here) Good board? - MSI X570A Pro (or maybe X470 or even B550) - $180 Budget CPU - R3 3100 (maybe R5 1600 AF) -> R7 3700X (in a couple of years maybe or something else along these lines) - $135 (R3 with Wraith Cooler) and $120 (R5 with no cooler) RAM - Corsair DDR4, 3000MHz 8GB (adding another stick in a few months) - $45-ish Current GPU - HD7870 -> GTX1660 (in a few months) Current Case - Antec One (hopefully the Mobo will fit) What do you think? Thanks!
