  1. Hi all, I've got a problem with my new Series X. It all worked find when I set it up yesterday morning. Started downloading a game, switched the input so I could watch something else, then switched back to the Xbox to no display. I have tried a different cable and a different TV, and have tried putting it into the low resolution mode. Still no display just a black screen. Any help appreciated, thanks.
  2. Thanks for looking into this for me, I'll have a look into the cradle used in the Expedition. Can you clarify what you meant by being able to use the 2.5 inch drive cradle? I don't see how that would fit.
  3. Hi all, I built my PC over a year ago, and now want to install a 2TB 3.5" drive into my GameMax Kamikaze Pro case. I didn't realise but the case didn't come with any trays for the HDD to be mounted with. None of the YT vids of the case show anyone actually using the drive bay so I have no idea what I should be buying to be able to install the drive, or if i should be looking around for something that came with the case (like screws or something). I've attached pictures of the bay if it helps. Any help appreciated, thanks all.
  4. Thanks for the reply and all the help mate Will definitely look into coolers
  5. Hi again, The same thing just happened with my CPU (3600 with Stock Cooler). I launched a Minecraft World and it went to 85/86C for a good 5-10 seconds before dropping to its normal 70-80C range. Is this dangerous for the CPU, or is anything wrong. Thanks in advance for the help again
  6. Thanks for the help. Does this basically limit what your card can do in exchange for better temps? Just asking since I've never used Afterburner to change settings before, just to read temps.
  7. Do you mean all the way to the left?
  8. Hi everyone, I was playing Minecraft with shaders getting just over 60fps (Ryzen 5 3600 and 1660 Super), and noticed my GPU rising slowly over time. It hit 83C before I turned the game off since I was worried. Do I need to worry and is there anything I can do? Could this be a physical problem with the card since the fans do make some weird noises sometimes... Any help appreciated :)
  9. If its minecraft then like others said its normal since the load is on one core of your cpu. Also, make sure you have no fps cap and V-Sync turned off
  10. Thanks for the advice. I've opened the side and I'm pretty sure there's no cable hitting the fans. Custom fan curve is worth a shot, just need to learn how to do that :P. Do you know exactly what rpm you kept them in at idle, since I know literally nothing about this? I am tempted to RMA it. But the card seems to be functioning fine, and temps dont seem too bad (but not impressive either, hit 80C the other day). I ordered from Amazon UK, so if they themselves can test and replace it, I'll do it. But if I have to send the card to Gigabyte, I'll probably keep it, see how it goes, and RMA later if it actually stops functioning inside the 3 year warranty period. Thanks for the advice mate.
  11. ahhh. Kinda rlly hoping it was normal. OK I'll double check nothing is hitting it, might try removing the wifi card as well, and then RMA if not fixed.
  12. Hi everyone. Its been over a month now that I've notice a horrible grinding noise coming from my PC. I only built the system about 3 months ago and it is my first build. I opened the side panel and narrowed the problem down to the GPU fans making the grinding noise when they are starting up or slowing down (as it increases/decreases over the threshold temp im guessing). Like I said, only built the system 3 months ago so wouldn't expect component damage at this stage? Can anyone offer any advice as to what to do? Is this normal or should I return the card? Thanks in advance

  14. I had a closer look and it seems like the noise is happening as the fans on the GPU keep turning on and off (think they only turn on when under a certain load). So if I'm doing something that fluctuates back and forth over the threshold load level, the fans turn off and on every 30 secs - 1 minute. However, is it normal for them to be making that noise when stopping or revving back up? I also noticed one of the two fans took a bit longer to stop all the way than the other, but not sure if that's a problem. Thanks
  15. Hi all, I built my first PC about 1 and a half months ago, and I had to move it to a different house a couple weeks ago. Ever since then, I've noticed a really loud grinding noise coming from the pc. It's not continuous, it only happens under load, and even then it goes away after 10-20 seconds. I'm not too worried since I haven't noticed any problems yet, but the noise can rev up quite loud, so I want to find out what it is asap. I'm not too sure where it's coming from. I'm pretty sure it's not the case fans since they're on a set speed (low). I though it was a loose CPU fan vibrating when it speeds up, but its been tightened and the noise is still there. So, at this point I'm suspecting the GPU (Gigabyte 1660 Super). No cables are interrupting fans from what I can see. Does anyone know what this noise could be, how to fix it, or what I should do next to stop the problem asap? Any help appreciated, thanks Here's an audio recording. The noise comes in around halfway through. Ignore the controller noises lol Noise from PC.m4a

  17. Thanks mate, that's good to hear. Just wasn't sure if it was normal, and wanted to make sure since this was my first build.
  18. Hi everyone, finished my first ever PC build relatively recently but am noticing my CPU cooler seems to be making a noticeable buzzing noise. My GPU fans only turn on at a certain usage, and my case fans are pretty much silent, so the cpu fan is all I can hear. CPU Fan.mp3 This is the noise as I held the mic up to the front of the PC ( ignore background noise, focus on the buzzing sound). Is this sound normal to come from the CPU fan? My temps seem to be fine, considering it is the stock cooler for the R5 3600 I'm not worrying too much since the PC seems to be running fine, in gaming as well, but if it is an issue I would prefer to deal with it ASAP. I am pretty sure that it is screwed in properly as well since I remember I spent a lot of time installing the cooler because it was giving me problems lol I'm happy to answer any more questions and any help is appreciated.
  19. Hi everyone, recently finished my first PC build. Was playing some GTA today, turned VSync off to check what FPS I was getting and after a few seconds, my VRAM clock droppped from 7000 MHz to either 100 or 400 MHz (I didn't get a good look at it), causing my FPS to drop to sub 10 (from about 100) for about 10 seconds. The 7001 MHz dropped, and one of the GPU usage figures shows 0%: This is what shows in MSI Afterburner if it helps (I have not overclocked anything): Specs: R5 3600 GTX 1660 Super 16GB 3200MHz RAM I have been running with VSync on and it has been perfectly smooth. Any idea what that 0% usage figure represents? Is this normal or something I should worry about? Any help appreciated!
  20. Thanks mate. Not experiencing any obvious problems. I get some FPS drops from 60 to 30 in Sea of Thieves, but I guess this is normal during intense scenes. Nothing in Control Panel. Do you recommend doing the DDU rn or should I be fine? Thanks for the help!
  21. Hi, I recently finished my first PC build and was installing the latest drivers. Ryzen 5 3600 GTX 1660 Super 16GB 3200 MHz RAM When I got to the Chipset driver, the mobo company had it incorrectly linked so instead of installing the chipset drivers I was installing Radeon GPU drivers. It didn't click with me at the time that these were the GPU drivers and not the chipset ones, since the mobo company themselves had linked it. Obviously, since I'm running an nvidia GPU, the installation kept failing and I kept trying. It constantly said it had partially installed the Radeon software everytime it tried, always running into an error (obviously it would). After I finally realised what I had been doing, I uninstalled the Radeon software (I think): And then I installed the correct chipset driver from the AMD website. What I want to know is could this have done any harm to my PC, even though I'm running nvidia GPU drivers. Sorry if I seem paranoid but I would rather solve the problem now than later. Any help appreciated!
  22. Great, thanks. Had a look with HWMonitor, 1 thread is maxed out rather than 1 core. Is it normal for this thread to change though? As you can see the max load has been on 4 of the threads and keeps switching.
