The pcbs look good so far.
One idea I just had is daisy chaining, so you'd only have one usb connection to the pc when using multiple fan controllers. I know, that would require pcb changes, but whatever, just an idea.,

    Edit:
I have thought a bit about that whole ui thing again right now and while I think, that WPF is quite good, it is only for windows. However, this project is open source and therefore probably sort of meant to be used on any platform. Java would probably be somthing to think about at that point, or python but I don't really like python. That said, it's not my project.

    Edit:
A possibility for angled fan connectors would be neat. Right now only half of the connectors could be accessed that way.

I'd really like, if you put some effort in the interface. Most tools are either ugly af (gamer look etc.) or too complicated to use because of their cluttered interface. Good UI design can help a lot with these issues.

This won't really work, as springs alone are, well, springy and don't dampen a lot at all actually.
Besides, I don't know why you're all so worried (@LWM723, @Shimejii and @SKR25). Rolling around PCs isn't a new idea. Even Apple acknowledges that.
It would probably look really janky, but a cage inside cage, held in place by tensioned springs, would work like a big microphone spider.

This sounds hilariously stupid, I know, but press Alt+F4. If no window is opened, Windows will prompt you a window for restarting, shutting down etc.

Edit: Please don't, if you are not focussed on the desktop, lol.

Having a big hole in a machine that's supposed to be portable seems kind of unreasonable to me. Maybe there's another way to get that half millimeter of clearance. Depending on the thickness of the side panel, you could grind away 0.5 millimeters of the panel.

Masking tape is your friend when doing stuff like this.

So, I'm gonna make some observations, then suggestions.
The "pins" seem to effectively be coach bolts They are not fixed to the back plate I'd guess the plastic spacers are unthreaded I'd also hypothesise the heat and compression on the spacers has deformed them to be a tighter fit on the coach bolts than intended Take the cpu block and use it as a template to mark out where the bolts are on a block of wood (about the size of the backplate)
Drill holes out in the wood so they will fit over the flat head of the bolts.
Use drilled wood block to support the motherboard
Use a small hammer to tap the bolts into the block of wood
The first tap is going to strip the pseudo-thread from the spacers, and it'll all just fall apart from there.

2nd option, use a drill chuck* to get purchase on the spacers, then use the pseudo-thread to unscrew and pull them off.

*just a chuck, not the whole thing, something like this.

    EDIT: Cutters method
If you've got access to side cutters (like this, not like this), you can use them on the bolt heads on the back of the board as a double sided wedge to get under the bolt heads and just leverage them lose DO NOT CUT ANYTHING.

If you want to buy the DT-990s, you can just try them out with your motherboard first and then buy an amp if necessary.

That's where the mistakes can happen.

Never buy something based on a brand name , and never assume something from a specific brand will be "the same as it was in the past" or "equal in quality to other products they make". Buy it based on reviews or experience for that very specific model.

It's not like theres a single guy that works at Asus who values quality over anything else , and has been working there even since the company started. It's tons of different divisions and different designers that are cycled out constantly. The logo is the only thing the new and old products will share

This is my flex. It's a shabby old core duo laptop which I bought for five bucks from the tip, and I got the controller for four dollars from a pawn shop. It's all just hot glue and time spent filing things into the right shape.

Uhh is not having a pfp but being a business account a crime of some sort? Or does it in any way show they're a hacker?
All they did was send you messages(probably accidentally) and delete them right after. They did not make any attempts to hack/scam you. Seems dumb to report them to the police.
If I see deleted messages, I just ignore them. They deleted it for a reason.

Attaching any cable to such small traces will be a pain in the ass. It would be interesting to know whether the USB port is Gen 2 or something else since Gen 2 is way simpler than newer versions and therefore easier to work with.

startrek03 got a reaction from youssef10112 in Will this PSU be okay?
In the PSU tier list, this PSU is listed in tier D, meaning it is definitely suitable for your current system. Considering that it has 650W total wattage and two 6+2pin headers for GPUs, it will probably be able to support most midrange GPUs. However, it is still just 80plus certified, so it is for sure something to keep in mind when upgrading the system.

While that is definitely true, we also know that LMG is willing to expand into different areas. LTT labs is one example. Admittedly, it is probably difficult to get an audience for those topics because, well, if you are not using the software, you probably won't care. Though, it might be possible on a separate channel, that isn't super focused on growth.

As my first more expensive Headphones I really like my Beyerdynamic DT-990s. They're comfortable, sturdy, easy to repair and sound better than most headphones out there (considering all the crap headphones in this world). Having bought them new for around 130€, they were also quite affordable.

I'll probably get slaughtered by a lot of audiophiles here, but I don't really think an additional amp is necessary for the DT770s. Especially not for the 80 Ohms version.

That's not a problem, because the only thing that bracket does is hold the GPU in the case. It doesn't affect the functioning of the card.
