  1. Your right about the 10 key, i've never used this. G14 is interesting but the cheapest is already 500€ more expensive. If only there was one without any dGPU. Also it lacks the "tabletmode" i imagine could be very useful sometimes because handwriting is more intuitive? Or is writing on an screen unimportant during class when studying? But it has more powerful speakers (audio>video!) With desktop PC I already have a 27" 1080p. Enough for me. Mostly i play WotLK, BTD 6, Terraria, sometimes AAA titles but I quit them really fast(for some reason they annoy me very fast)
  2. Hello there, I am starting to study in March and am looking for a laptop for that purpose. Usecase: office tasks, research, coding, etc., light gaming For more demanding tasks i still have a desktop. Currently, the ROG Flow X13 2023 without a dGPU seems suitable to me. Sufficient power, slim and light, USB-A port(still not friends with C, A is just more robust), usable as a tablet and comes with stylus(handwritten notes), exactly the size of a sheet of paper (A4) like it's meant to be stuffed in a schoolbag, price<1500€ I've read and watched a few rewievs, but those are mostly for the 2021 or 2022 model. They say it can get a bit toasty under load, and some rubber pieces fall off easy? Has anyone experienced this with the 2023 model? And does it have pass through when running from wall power? How's the keyboard an build quality? Can anyone recommend this or maybe a similar or even better device I haven't found yet(No Apple)? Did I miss any important question I should ask myself while choosing a device? Thanks for help
  3. thank you ! do I need to make partitions for each bootthingy or one for all of them? I want to use the storage thats left as a normal usb stick
  4. Hello there, my plan is to install xubuntu on my laptop. I already had a win10 install stick(8gb total an 3,8 used) so my idea was to make it a dual boot stick. One partition win10 install and one xubuntu install. Problem was that MediaCreationTool wants a least 8gb or the boot device. So I decided to use my second USB stick (total 64 gb). It already had a bootable 2gb patition with some paragon backup/recovery tool i use and some data my sisters Mac needed(i hope it wasn't systembackups because it was about 20gb). I created another partition with 8gb and chose it in the MediaCreationTool to make it the win10 installdevice. But MediaCreationTool just formated the whole stick and made a new partition with 32gb(3,8 used) with the win10 install Now i am trying to make the paragon partiton again but when I start the Tool for this i can only choose the whole stick for this(Bacup Tool needs just ~600mb). The Tool doesnt care where t is partitioned or not. Is there any ideas how I can make a "triple" boot stick with the partitions only that large they need to be? Boris
  5. I did a system backup/recovery and tried everything again but it didn't help. I tried the 256x version from the texturepack RAM total is now around 9gb. I'm waiting for a friend to try the 512x because he has 32 gb RAM to compare.
  6. Es heißt Sphax PureBD Craft und davon das mit der Auflösung 512x512. Ohne Texturenpaket benötigt Minecraft 2,7gb RAM.
  7. i installed cpu-z and it says there are 16 gb of RAM but DRAM frequenzy is about the half what is set in the BIOS/UEFI don't know whether this is normal or not. I tried Shadow of the Tomb Raider and it uses 1,4 gb total total RAM usage was posted right. Without the texturepack Mincraft usues its 2,7gb , with a different Texturepack total Ram usage is around 9gb idle still 1gb more than it should be (idle 4gb(for some reason my idle is somtimes 4gb sometimes 2,3)+4 gb minecraft =8gb)
  8. Total RAM usage goes down to 5gb (mincraft 2,7). But five days ago it was like that with the texture pack.
  9. I don't have mods installed, only a texturepack.
  10. Yes i changed the xmx to 1G in the launcher and started it again, same problem. Only thing what changes is the shown RAM when you press F3 in minecraft.
  11. Hello there, I build myself a new rig a week ago and installed minecraft on it. I added sphax pure bd craft 512 as a texturepack. Not a single mod. The first day all was fine and minecraft used about 2,7gb RAM in taskmanager. Today i started it again and it took all RAM. Total RAM usage was about 98%.When I look up the process' RAM usage it's about 5,5gb but adding this amount to the 2,5gb in idle would be a total of 8gb(50% total RAM usage). I don't know what happened and all I find when I browse the internet is to change the allocated RAM in the JVM arguments. Nothing changes no matter whether I allocate more or less RAM. When it was running fine the JVM arguments were on default anyway. What should i do? Sorry for my english I am german .__.
