I purchased an AOC 24G2 144Hz gaming monitor brand new and whenever I try to connect it to my motherboard it comes up with "NO SIGNAL". The HDMI cable I'm using is fine as I connected it to my laptop and my laptops display came up no problem. So I'm certain the actual monitor and the HDMI cable are fine which means it's something to do with my motherboard. I'm not too tech savvy so I can't even begin to start the process of elimination to find out the problem, which is why I'm here. Computer specs: MOTHERBOARD - msi B450-A pro MAX POWER SUPPLY - Cooler Master MWE V2 650W 80+ BRONZE NON-MODULAR CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6 core socket AM4 3.6GGz STORAGE - Crucial 1TB NVMe M.2 PCIe 3 D NAND SSD CT1000 P1S GPU - ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT Phantom Gaming D OC 8GH V RAM - Team T-Force Vulcan Z 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200MHz MONITOR - AOC C24G2 24" 144Hz CASE - Cooler Master Master Box MB520 RGB Tempered Glass Any help is much appreciated, cheers.

yeah nah i don't plan on overclocking I think that's the type of thing I'd feel comfortable if I had someone who knows about this stuff physically there with me to explain it to me. Thanks for taking the time to make these suggestions for me, cheers!

I appreciate the suggestions but I'd like to know why these are better. Not doubting your knowledge or expertise it's just that I'm a major rookie when it comes to this.

My budget is $1500-$2000 AUD ($2000 absolute max). Not looking for a god machine just want to be able to play modern AAA titles at a consistent 1080p, 60FPS (not saying these are the only games I'll be playing just using that as a metric) with the intention of upgrading components further down the line in a couple of years.

So this is my first attempt at building a gaming PC and I'd like to have someones opinion on the parts I've picked out. DISCLAIMER: My knowledge on computer hardware is limited. While the system will likely still run without it, higher current demands such as extreme overclocking or large video card current draws may require it." Again, my knowledge on hardware is limited and would someone who has had experience with these particular pieces of hardware and possibly offer alternatives that would mitigate any potential issues at roughly the same price. I've heard the wraith stealth cooler that comes with the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 sucks and went with the be quiet, dark rock pro, was this a good decision?
