  1. Does corsair including the cable change your answer at all? Im currently looking at the 3x8 to 12+4 since the store Im buying from has that in stock. Would it be fine to leave one of the 3x8 hanging or how does that work?
  2. Hey! So I am in a little bit of a pickle here. I want to buy the lian li strimer rgb cable for my current 4070ti but which one? There are so many different ones and I am confused. Im probable upgrading my 4070ti tuf at some point to a 4080/4090 so would be cool if I didnt need to buy another cable then. Psu being used is Corsair RMX 1200 swift atx 3.0 if that helps at all. Thank you so much if one of you knows the correct one!
  3. Pretty much the title. I'm building the pc around either 13900k or 7800x3d with a gpu upgrade to 5090 next year. I'm currently on 10700k and 4070Ti with a 850w corsair rmx. Im upgrading the other parts of the pc this autumn and I wanna make sure I' dont need to take the pc apart again next year just for a new psu. You never know if nvidia goes crazy and demands a 1000w just for the gpu. Which would be the best? I was thinking over 1300w with either good rep gold one or platinum. Price dont matter.
  4. Yea the latest update fixed it for me too, I think it said in the notes also something about it...and to your other question, no I haven't had any other issues so far.
  5. So Im upgrading to the 12900ks when it comes out and combine that with a mobo ofc. Im looking to swap at the same time since its 6 years old now. I got 5 noctua 140mm fans and would be nice to find a case that will fit all of them. I got the nh-d15 so I dont need space for a liquid cooler. Budget is whatever, everything under 250 dollars goes.
  6. I have this same issue with asus tuf 3070 oc model, running windows 11 dev latest build.
  7. So as the title says, I need help finding a case that would fit 5 noctua 140mm case fans and a 360mm cpu aio on top of that. I looked at phanteks P500A and that seems to do it. Is there any other options? I guess I should also say that I dont care about rbg but I like the window on the side. Also obv don't need the case to include any fans.
  8. So I got a msi z490 tomahawk board and a closed case, looks don't matter one bit. To be clear, I paid 1060€ for the TUF and now the MSI model that I got today was 1019€ so the difference is marginal at this price point but was still curious for the optimal choice
  9. So just a quick question about these models, I got the asus tuf today and managed to also get a 3070Ti from todays launch. I saw the boost clock and max wattage being lower almost only on the msi ventus 2x and 3x models (at least in the non Ti models in was like that and they were considered the worts of the customs) and was just wondering should I cancel the order of the Ti and use the TUF or the other way around? The price for the Ti was little less than the tuf OC. Dumb question but which is the correct thing to do?
  10. Yo, does anyone know a fix for this?
  11. So my pc has started to act really weird for no reason. This started about a month ago when I was playing cs:go and the pc crashed on the map loading screen, right at the end. After that, pc crashes every time when I try to join a game and now it has gotten more "serious" I guess and crashes even on games like hearthstone. It never happens when Im browsing the web, only on gaming. Things I have tried: Prime95 for 30 minutes without issues and max temp 71c memtest86 for 4 hours without any errors, also windows memory diag with no errors flashed BIOS back to older version DDU my nvidia drivers and used multiple older ones and most recent reinstalled windows sfc scan and chkdsk /f /r System info: Gtx 980Ti Intel 10700K MSI Tomahawk Z490 G.Skill Ripjaws 3600Mhz CL16 Seasonic 660w plus platinum PSU from 2015 WinVer 21H1 build 19043.1023 The problem seems to be a kernel error 41 Log Name: System Source: Microsoft-Windows-Kernel-Power Date: 26/05/2021 2.32.21 Event ID: 41 Task Category: (63) Level: Critical Keywords: (70368744177664),(2) User: SYSTEM Computer: DESKTOP-QLKVKS6 Description: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. 12. Underclocking the gpu core clock for 90mhz and the memory clock down 200mhz and it seems the crashing is gone. Why would this be the case and does it mean I will have to run the gpu underclocked from now on?
  13. Yes my ram is the g.skill ripjaws 16-16-16-36 3600mhz 16gb kit with them in slots 2 and 4. Trying the underclocking next.
  14. Okay so I tried it, same thing happens with xmp on/off.
  15. Issue started to happen couple days ago when I was playing and it crashed couple of times mid csgo match. Now it just wont even load into the map, crashes right at the end. Will try removing the xmp next.
  16. So I build the pc back in december of 2015 but upgraded the mobo/cpu/ram last august. I was oc'ing the gpu on msi afterburner but very slightly and removed it anyway before the issue came up. Cpu is on stock and ram is xmp with mobo defaults. I ran the memtest admitetly a short time, for about an hour but it didnt have any issues. I also ran the windows own memory diagnostic or whatever its called if that counts for anything and that didnt give any issues.
  17. Hey! So this started happening a week ago. I can't load into a csgo map without my pc completely crashing, no blue screen, just black like I would reboot it. The weird thing about it is that if I put fps_max 999 its when the problem occurs but if I cap my fps to lets say 300 or 400 it doesnt crash. If this was the only problem I would obv just use those settings but it also does the same thing in somewhat light settings on heaven benchmark. What could the issue be? Things I have tried, memtest86, prime95 for cpu temps and removed any oc from msi afterburner, changed thermal paste on cpu in case it was badly applied and removed all dust. Specs are: 980ti superjetsream, 10700k on stock and 3600mhz ram. The psu is the oldest with the gpu being over 5 years old. (https://www.newegg.com/seasonic-ss-660xp2-660w/p/N82E16817151121) newegg link for the psu. EDIT: Tried removing xmp profile but didnt help, what I have now also done is complete cleaning of gpu drivers with DDU and got the second newest version 466.11 that worked before without problems, I updated bios a week ago to a new version so went and flashed bios back to the older version that also was working fine. Neither of these fixed the issue.
  18. Hey! So I just ordered the 3080 and as the title says, will this be enough? I bought this psu ( Seasonic P660 660W 80+ Platinum) in 2015. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Seasonic-Platinum-Certified-Modular-Supply/dp/B009VV56U8 CPU Intel 10700K Motherboard MSI MAG Z490 TOMAHAWK ATX RAM HyperX Fury 32Gb GPU Nvidia RTX 3080 Storage Samsung Evo M.2 500Gb SSD + Crucial 500Gb SSD + 2TB HDD Display(s) Benq 2546 240HZ & 75Hz Acer IPS 1080p Cooling Noctua NH-D15
  19. I got 660w platinum seasonic combined with 10700k....am I in need of a new one too if I buy the 3080?
  20. So I have the stock fans from the nanoxia deep silence 5 from 2015 still plugged and Im wondering that should I maybe get a fourth fan or just swap every single one of them since its been 5 years? Does it even make a difference to get new ones if they dont make rattling or any other kind of noise? I would be looking at arctic p14 pwm pst if I would buy new ones
  21. So I have currently Oc'd 10700k and Im using 2666mhz 32GB Kingston Fury sticks. Should I consideer upgrading them to a 3200-3600mhz sticks or keep these?
  22. Hey, Im going to swap my old stuff to a fresh 10700k tomorrow and was just thinking, is there anything I should remember to do before swapping?
  23. So 1 of the 2 fans of my 980Ti started making a somewhat loud rattling sound when it passes a certain fan speed about 2 years ago. Why I havent fixed is cause I don't really mind it that much at all. But now that Im gonna sell it and get a 3000 series card, I was thinking that maybe I should get it fixed for it to sell easier. What should I do about it? Or is it too much off a hashle and rather try and sell it with the rattling and let the next person fix it?
  24. Seasonic 660W P 660 (XP²) should be the model name...maybe? And the reason why I went for intel is cause I play 90% of the time only csgo and I'm aiming to buy the 360hz monitor when it comes out and heard that intel is still winning on the fps race atleast on csgo.
