  1. Hey everyone, [asking for a friend] I've been encountering some frustrating issues with Fortnite and I'm hoping someone here might have some insights, suggestions or a solution. Essentially, my game keeps freezing intermittenly during gameplay, ranging from short hiccups to longer pauses lasting up to 10 seconds. Strangely, some sessions go smoothly with no freezes at all, while other have 4-5 freezes in a single round. And yes, Fortnite is the only (demanding) game, where this happens. During a freeze everything else is working on my machine, like Alt-Tabbing to something else, Sound I/O and stuff like that. Here's a brief rundown of my system specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X GPU: RTX 4060 TI RAM: 16 GB I've tried several troubleshooting steps, including switching between DirectX12 and 11, reinstalling the game, clearing Cached Shaders, and tweaking the graphic settings to lower settings. However, none of these steps resolved the issue. One observation I've made is that the freezing seems to become more frequent the longer my current sessions goes on, although I am not entirely certain about this oberservation... At this point, I'm considering whether there might be issues with my RAM or VRAM causing the problems, or if it is possibly a random bug specific to Fortnite (my own research lead to other people with good hardware having more issues than with worse hardware). I would greatly appreciate any help or advice you can offer. Thanks in advance for your assistance.
  2. Thanks for your reply aswell. I REALLY appreciate the effort for providing the geizhals links! I think there a little mistake in your calculation. I am getting a total of 1583€ Although missing a storage (no worries, tier list will assist me enough :D) The trade off in your build is a better CPU in trade off for a worse GPU? (And the jump to DDR5)
  3. Okay, I am not really in-depth on the topic, just heard the concerns ^^ Is there any other RX card to recommend, because the provided shop is kinda a hassle to order from. The closest I've found was a PowerColor Radeon RX 7900 XT Hellhound at 895€ Also the cooler is not available, only as an import product.
  4. Hello SorryClaire, first of all thanks for your reply. Regarding ASUS, aren't they currently a complete no-go?
  5. Hello guys, I got no clue on what to focus if you intend to stream while gaming. Otherwise I'd just pick parts from tier lists, and ask for adjustmens Budget: 1500€ - 1750€ Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly streaming a variety of games, currently (mostly caused by current bad PC) Fall Guys and Fortnite Other details: Focus would be just on the PC itself. Peripherals would be taken over from the current setup. Buy date is likely asap. 1080p would be enough. 2/3 monitors in usage. Anything above 60 Hz would be good. The classic 100€ for Windows has not to be included in the budget. And lastly, who would have guessed otherwise, a case with side panel coupled with fancy RBG Greetings
  6. Hello guys, I am creating this thread on behalf of a friend. If further details are required, I'll try to provide them So basically the monitors are randomly turning off, sound is still going, but sound input of a microphone doesn't work. Only way to leave this "frozen" state is to force shut down the system by holding down the power button. After rebooting the system, the resolution is set to the standard one when you don't have any graphics drivers installed (800x720 I guess?). This is only fixed by completly reinstalling all graphic drivers. That problem occurs like every 1 to 4 hours. The event log doesn't show any critical logs. A stress test to check out, if it's related to high GPU usage turned out negative. It ran completly fine. At this point I don't know how to isolate the source of the issue I'd be happy for any provided help.
  7. Hello guys, I can't decise which of the following HDD (CMR) I should get: ST1000DM010 - 33,90€ WD10EZEX - 33,37€ WD10EZRZ - 33,30€ HDWD110UZSVA - 32,87€ / HDWD120UZSVA - 53,90€ / HDWD130UZSVA - 61,97€ ST2000VX008 - 56,85€ Kinda rooting for the 2TB Toshiba but I still unsure. Thanks in advance
  8. Hello guys, currently I am running with the following: Samsung 860 EVO 500 GB as my operating system drive (mainly used for programs that can't change their installation path) [20% filled] WDC WD10EZEX-75WN4A0 1 TB for everything not game related like documents etc., programs and games that i rarely touch [50% filled] Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB as one of my drives for games (leftover from an older pc, hence the small size) [80% filled] ADATA SX8200PNP 1 TB as my other games drive [90% filled] I am thinking of getting more storage for coming stuff, but I dont really know whether another SSD, HDD or NVME and which size would be the best in my case. Another SSD or NVME of 1 TB or 2 TB feels like the best IMO. Or a big HDD ... I dont know Maybe someone has a clue or recommendation on how I can expand my storage ... replacing the 850 EVO could be also an option Best greetings PS: Dunno if this is the right subforum or if "New Builds and Planning" is better suited for this. PSS: Only thing that could "help" I guess that I have an B550 Gaming Carbon WiFi as my Mainboard
  9. About which PSU are you thinking? I looked at the PSU Tier list and its in Tier A and multi-rail. Am I not seeing something thats wrong?
  10. I've looked at both your builds and came up with this: Any further recommendations or improvements? @GeorgeMKane& @Jonathan Lee https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/GzLKz7
  11. What MoBo would it be for the AMD option?
  12. @Jonathan LeeYes the 1000€ are for everything but the grapics card. I highly doubt he will be getting the beefiest one, maybe RTX 3070/3080.
  13. Budget (including currency): Around 1000€ Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Focused on gaming Other details: If possible, it should not have RGB unless these parts are cheaper than without RGB Mainboard: ATX format, atleast 6 USB ports, Onboard WLAN not required RAM: 32 GB (preferably 2x16 GB) Case: Compact, pref. without a window, no drives or card reader slots needed, black or white, easy to access air filters Graphics Card: Will be bought later, and shouldn't be included in the given budget CPU: Any AMD Ryzen 5000 CPU Cooler: Thinking about a Scythe Fuma 2 Power Supply: Modular, should have enough Watts for a future RTX 30X0 Storage: Any good M.2 - already have two HDDs and one SSD on stock Hello guys, requesting this build for a friend, since his old PC gave up. Only thing salvageable are the HDDs and SSD + Graphics Card. He will get a newer graphics card when the prices will calm down (If they will ever go down ). I hope he provided enough info for you guys. Greetings PS: A link for PcPartPicker or even better Geizhals (only in german) would be wonderful
