Right here, this is the problem.

And no, not the thermal paste.  Thermal paste is mostly thermal paste.

Your Cooler is rated for 60W of TDP.

Your CPU is rated for 84W TDP.

84 is quite a bit bigger than 60.

You need a MUCH BETTER cooler.  If it'll fit in your care:  The Vetroo V5 or the 224-XT Coolers are fairly cheap (30 bucks or so) and much much much more capable coolers.

Short term, if it wasn't crashing with the side panels off, take it off again.  Causing your PC to crash due to terrible thermals is going to fuck it up if you keep doing it.

I'll be honest I have no idea (you're trying to hack in Gsync support?) but what happens if you just set it to Variable refresh rate - I mean supposedly free synch monitors are compatible?

Are you using a dp cable? (it's obligatory)

Edit: ok a bit of research :

So how is that supposed to work, has anyone ever been able to do this? (if yes, then you're probably on the right forum, the people here know a lot of obscure / lesser known 'things'  😉 )

    What are your temps?

I'm 99% certain it's because of your psu which is pretty much a garbagefire unit.

How that power supply hasn't caught fire is a mystery that I would frankly rather leave unsolved. Change the power supply to something that ain't a fire hazard. For example a Be Quiet Pure Power Gold 500W

Make sure the PSU has really good airflow and for the love of god stop running benchmarks.

Remove your gpu and use onboard graphics is the only way I could even attempt to recommend you use the system. Other than that don't use it.

Avoid using the system. A shit power supply can kill the entire system in a split second. You won't even notice until it's too late should the power supply decide to N itself.

First - never buy by brand. Always look at the specific models.
Second - wattage is not your issue

Your system barely pulls 300W - the issue is that the current power supply cannot supply more than 200W continuously.

Buying used is always a risk. For power supplies, I'd advise new as everything else depends on it for safety

I have a cougar 600w psu 80+ bronze and im planing to upgrade my system from ryzen 3 1200 1050ti and msi a320 gaming motherboard to ryzen 7 2700x 1080ti or 1070ti and msi tomahawk b450 max. The question is
Is it going to handle the ryzen 7 2700x and the 1080ti or 1070ti

Power is fine, but what exact PSU is it and how old is it?  There are other considerations than just wattage.

for a 1070ti, yes. for a 1080ti, the recommended is 650w, but is still probably fine

If you want a bright fire - yes

If you want a stable computer - hell no. Get a reliable power supply such as the Corsair TXM 550W or Be Quiet Pure Power Gold 500W

Do you two honestly believe the Cougar that cannot even deliver rated power can actually and SAFELY power a 2700X and 1070 Ti? Seriously?.... It's going to pop like a fire cracker with cheap chinese capacitor shrapnel.

Look into a higher quality power supply. That Cougar is not a viable option for those upgrades.

Cougar has 3 80+ Bronze rated 600W PSUs. The CMD, VTX, and VTE. Which one is it?

Interesting that some people have said that it's bad, or that it's fine, without knowing which of the 3 it is. At least that makes it easier to spot who's talking out of their asses, and should not be trusted :3
