RAM:8GB Kingston 8gb Samsung MoBo: Asrock VG4 H81M v2.02 PSU: Corsair CV650 Literally no better alternative in my country under 180 Dollars which is outside my budged CHASSIS FANS: 3 intake front 3 exhaust 2 top and 1 back wovibo RGB 5V3Pin version I got the new fans for my PC sadly they're remote controlled and can't be controlled by Mobo except for the RGB GPU stress test with Heaven benchmark for 1H completely OK RAM Test with passmark NO errors CPU benchmark WITH PASSMARK 87C => SHUT DOWN Went to power management changed cooling to passive No more SHOT DOWNS on passmark 2x Ran cinebench 3rd test hit 100c for too long and triggered a SHUT DOWN Decreased clocks to 3.7 Hit 100c on cinebench no SHUT DOWN Decreased clocks to 3.6 Hit 100c on cinebench no SHUT DOWN Ran OCCT and used power test cpu usage on all cores jumps to 99% and pc Shuts down 1 sec after the test starts.
  4. Yes you r right haha thanks mate ill probably wait and get a mobo ram cpu cooller combo from someone whos upgrading also i can run most things at medium over 60fps so not in a hurry

  6. Hello, Im thinking about upgrading. my setup is =mobo:asrock vg4 r2.01 =Ram:8gb hyperx 1600 8gb samsung 1600 sometimes the samsung becomes undetected for some reason but blowing on it and singing to it helps fix the prob =cpu i7 4770 3.8oc =Cpu Cooler:actic looks like a 20% thicker intel stock =gpu msi 1070ti =Psu corsair cv 650w =just ordered some case fans cuz i had none My budget is 200$ or 1000$ after 1 year and im from morocco so im stuck with aliexpress and whatever is available in my country. also how bottlenecked is my poor gpu?
  7. same the boards are everywhere on aliexpress. oh well its ok it has served me well and it will always have its place in my heart.
  8. you mean unplug and leave for 12 hours b4 turning on again. I did that and forgot to mention it. btw I used paint and painted 1pixel at a time its displaying it in every line not every other line I tested 1 pixel at a time so its just that every other line is brighter for some reason also the top 2 brighter ones are closer to normal than the rest and are beating at the frequency of a heartbeat if that helps.
  9. How i confirmed it was the monitor: changed resolution (didn't work) uninstalled the Nvidia driver (didn't work) used HDMI instead of the default DVI (didn't work) used HDMI with my dvd player instead of PC (didn't work) what I did after confirming it was the monitor: reset its settings (didn't work) reset to factory after turning it off and pressing power for 30 secs (didn't work) found the demo part and checked if off it was off made it on it took the right part of the screen off made it back as it was tried calibrating the colors (didn't work) unplugged it and left it overnight (didn't work) there was a weird thing i noticed and its that when the screen was looking for HDMI and it was fully blue it didn't show the lines I went to this website that shows colors on screen Colour test screen (ledr.com) it was almost invisible on black and pink but I could barely see it after getting close but it was there I tried painting using windows paint 1 pixel on the brighter and normal lines to check if they r just dead or suck at one color but they were very responsive just brighter when i get very close its like its beating like 60 times a min or so if I could describe it its as if there was 1080 horizontal lines going from top to bottom the first 2/7 is normal without the weird lines then as if every other line is brighter and every pair line normal Should I open the monitor or get someone to fix it shipping it back costs more than the monitor's price. I'm lost Plz help Monitor: benq zowie XL2720-B (my 9 month old baby ) Operating system win 10 pro 64-bit (insider program) CPU: i74770 3.40GHz. MoBo: ASROCKH81M-DGS R2.0(latest BIOS). Ram: 16GB. 10. can't get it to run at 144hz with hdmi 60hz is max maybe I did something wrong
  11. I wish to hack my way in to enable gsync I just want that smooth experience but can't afford the price difference.
  12. What I know: CRU can enable freesync on non freesync monitors But needs HDMI, G-sync can be enabled on freesync monitors But needs DisplayPort My monitor does not have the freesync option and I'm using a DP. I have added the freesync line manually by editing CTA861 and changed the range limit : Vrate from from 56-144 to 40-144Hz. reset the driver with reset64 after each step. I still can't find setup G-sync on Nvidia control panel. I need your help. Thank you for your time.
  13. hello can you recommend a website or post where I can find all the good PSU models I'm very lost not all of the PSUs u guys recommend are available in my county, thanks.
  14. Is buying a new PSU worth it or is it like ram and processors where buying used doesn't make a difference risk wise , what do you advise?
  15. thanks I now unserstand the risks I was taking with every benchmark and how lucky I was. Whats the minimum Wattage I'd need with this system? and which 3 brands are the most trustworthy.
  16. sadly my laptop outperforms my pc without the Graphic card so I guess I'll be using that for the next few months thanks for your advice. Can't do that sadly since I have no case fans I guess I'll have to turn it off and wait thanks for your help.
  17. that was really quick and precise guys thanks a lot for your help, I have been suspecting the PSU ever since I read this Forum about the same PSU crahsing a bitcoin farming system:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=44324.0 the problem is for the next 3 months I won't be able to afford a new one, any advices on how I should handle this problem, I think from the look of it my options are: -To keep using this system since its stable now(idk how much of a risk will this be on the system). -Turn off the system and wait 3 months for replacement and use a very old laptop for gaming, -An advice about combination of options that would keep my system safe and usable for the next 3 months proposed by you guys.
  18. Operating system win 10 pro 64-bit (insider program) CPU: i74770 3.40GHz. MoBo:ASROCKH81M-DGS R2.0(latest BIOS). Ram: 16GB. GPU: Msi GTX1070Ti Gaming. SSD: 1Tb Goldenfir. PSU: 600w Technimax. PC suddenly turns off [No error or anything just directly turns off] when using (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) "Extreme" option ,On Windows power options set to "Ultimate performance". First I disabled Turbo boost which delayed the problem by 1 sec. HWMonitor_x64:CPU Temps of "CPU(all cores+package)" and "GPU" never exceeded 70C°(Open case). PC will *not* turn off when (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) on "Basic" option and windows power option set to "Ultimate performance". PC will *occasionally* turn off when (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) on "Extreme" and Win power option set to "Power saver". By trial and error: I found that no "advanced option" in "Power saver" was changing much except: limiting "Processor power management" to 58%(max and min)=>which offered Stability and 0% crashes on repetitive and 2 Hr runs of (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) "extreme". On "advanced options" in "Power saver" on "PCI express" changing "Link state power management" doesn't make any difference. MSI gaming App was always set to OC mode. I kept watching the processor frequency while "min processor state" was on 58% and "max..." was on 65% and the (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) crashed immediately when the frequency jumped from 1.97GHz to 2.21Ghz.(58% to 65%) With that I found out that anything above 1.97GHz (58% on processor power management) while (Heaven Benchmark 4.0) is on "extreme" Turns off my pc.
