  1. Do you NEED it build now, or can you wait until like October? New NVIDIA 3000 series should be available by then ... Also, can you post some online store in India, just so we have some reference for prices and brands available in India? It would help. Thanks
  2. well, compared to those heatsink supplied with the SSD package, looking like aluminium foil, that one was fat ... Your´s isn´t heatsink anymore, it´s a utility radiator
  3. Yeah, my new MB (TUF GAMING B460M-PLUS) has 2x M.2 slot as well, one near CPU without heatsink, other one below PCIe x16 slot, with massive heatsink like yours ... First i thought "COOL, fat heatsink, let´s use it" Only afterwards I checked and temperatures were like 56°C. Then it hit me that it is completely covered by GPU cooler, blowing HOT air from GPU right at that SSD! I moved the SSD next to the CPU and temperatures are 40°C
  4. So hey there ... I got Intel i5-10600, ASUS TUF GAMING B460M-PLUS, paired with HypX Predator 2x8GB 2666MHz CL13 ... and I wonder how to squeeze a little bit of performance out of that. Now obviously, I know this isn´t the "K" version, but the BIOS still have the power limit options and plethora of others. But there´s just so many options I am starting to be a little overwhelmed here... Could anyone give me advice, or direct me for good post regarding possibilities and values I can go for? It´s not just multiplier at this point, and with so many options i don´t really know what they do, I am a little bit scared o messing up etc... Thanks
  5. It´s definitely good CPU, so no loss there... Now it´s a matter of getting GPU. You basically have only following options: 1. get yourself used GTX1660Ti or RTX2060 for low price, and wait for RTX3060-3070 to be available for moderately good price 2. same but with Radeon RX5600 or RX590 3. buy RTX2070S or 2080/S/Ti and roll with it for next few years 4. buy Radeon RX5700XT and again, roll with it for next few years 5. use whatever you have right now (if you have some GPU from old system) and wait for 3060-3070 viability of those options are in this order (in my opinion) ... the final choice is yours, depending on your current budget, and what are your plans in next 6 months.
  6. Hey there. I got myself ASUS TUF B460M-PLUS (Wi-Fi) and ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro... Motherboard manual says: M.2_1 slot shared bandwidth with SATA6G_1. When M.2_1 runs SATA mode, SATA6G_1 will be disabled. M.2_2 slot supports IRST. M.2_1 slot is also closer to CPU (don't know if this matters anymore), but slot 2 have beefy heatsink at it. I maybe plan on using SATA HDD in future, not at the moment, but there's 6 of them anyway. I don't know if IRST helps NVMe drives in any way, so no idea if I'll even turn it on... So, which M.2 slot should I use then?
  7. Hey, how about lapping different COOLERs? Some of those (especially low budget) coolers have such rough surface, you can actually see it even on low quality photos... Especially those where the copper heatpipes are basically just slapped and shoved into the base of aluminium cooler
  8. No way to know yet, as there are no benchmarks of 3080, nor specs of 3060/3070 to kind of "predict" performace, which you then have to compare to price ... So even it´s "behind the corner" and we can have "kind of general idea", it´s still just a rough guess... And as said before, you might have to wait till Christmas till there is some sweetspot model available in affordable price. But then if you´ll wait till Christmass for GPU, you might as well wait for Ryzen 4000 as well ... It really depends when you want, or need that build at home. GL
  9. Oh, then you should be fine, if both IN and OUT have same amount of fans ... You might not even need that extra fan in rear then. If you already have it, you can try running stress test WITH it and WITHOUT it, but i bet there won´t be any difference, or maybe like 1-2°C at most. Anyhow, no need to use side mesh in my opinion.
  10. Where will you radiator be, and what fans will it have? Do you plan on having any other fans elsewhere, or?
  11. Guys, what are you fighting over here? He said he is a game dev, that GENERALLY means you should go for NVIDIA, the guy said he probably wants to go for GTX1660 and wants recommendations on specific model ... Instead you´re bickering here. It´s not like we know what kind of game dev he does, nor Engine he uses, so we cannot debate over specifics... Either give information on specific game engines / sw that plays better on AMD than NVIDIA (I am sure there will be few), or give the man recommendations for good GTX1660. TY
  12. Could you maybe do more photos from other angles, showing us access to other places like radiator? Thanks
  13. It´s not really "recommended" for sellers to up the price artificially, more like the supply line stops and demand did not, thus driving prices up naturally ... Could you maybe tell us rest of your rig? To compare it, if it´s not an overkill maybe? However, if you need some graphics card NOW, I would maybe look for 2060 / 2060Super, maybe even used one, or even 1660 Ti ... Be aware, the 3080 will probably be available by end of September, but i think the 3060 / 3060Super will be the sweet spot, so that´s another month or 2 of waiting ...
  14. It really depends what king of game development you do, and in what engine. But if you work in, for example Unity and you deal with 3D space, then you will still need that GPU performance ... Depending on your budget I would get 1660S or 2060 ... maybe even 2nd hand for now. It should be plenty for you now, and in case of heavy workload or loading complicated scenes, you can buy RTX3060 by the time Christmas comes (I hope) nVidia has better support for development of games compared to AMD in general, but again, that depends solely on your engine and type of game development
  15. Ultimately, it is always down to the individuals selling that stuff, so no website is really safe ... However sites as eBay are good in that they have user rating. So by engaging with people with plenty of review and good reviews, you are eliminating the risk of some shady person selling one item and then blocking you / creating new account over and over ...
