  1. Thanks guys, I’ll be a little more patient and see if I can get a 5600x for 100$.
  2. 1. Video card seems fine maybe a little more than needed but you do 1440p at 170hz so, if you want to steam though NVIDIA might be better and their DLSS is much better. Also AMD is going to release 7000 series soon so it might be good to wait for that. 2. Don't mix ram sizes it will make upgrading latter a pain, I would do 2x16 from a well known brand so you can match them in a few years and go up to 64gb. 3. AM4 is a dead platform now so I probably wouldn't do that, as far as 6600x ryzen 5 is kinda the standard for price for performance. AMD and Intel are relatively even at this point. 4. I like corsair keyboards with brown switch, I also have a velocifire as a cheaper second mechanical keyboard. If your not sure about key types I would get a key tester of amazon they are about $10 USD. https://www.amazon.com/VELOCIFIRE-TKL02-Mechanical-Copywriters-Programmers/dp/B07DFBKYT5/ref=sr_1_3?crid=22PJ9VG0N57TT&keywords=velocifire+tkl&qid=1674106171&sprefix=velosifire+brown%2Caps%2C72&sr=8-3
  3. Budget (including currency): ~500 USD Country: USA - MA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Primarily gaming, some VR, music, and light video and photo Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Resolution: 1080p maybe upgrade to 1440p Parts list so far: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fvWMH2 I am build a PC for a friend with mostly used parts as he doesn't have much money to spend on it. The only parts I still need are a CPU and PSU. I am unsure what to buy for a CPU, I think I can get a 5600x used for 120-140 with cooler or a 3600X for 80-120 with cooler. which one do you guys think would be better I don't want to bottleneck the 2070 super? Also any other feedback on the build is welcome. So I guess the main question is would a ryzen 3600x bottleneck a RTX 2070 super.
  4. Hi All, So I’m looking to upgrade my second storage for my game library. I currently have a 2TB HDD. My problem is more how long it takes games to install than loading times. I download from steam at around 100MB and it spends 80% of the time waiting on HDD. I was thinking of getting cheap dram less SSD for it. I heard that don’t matter vs dram SSD for load times but what about installation times? I was thinking about getting a 2TB Kingston NV1 (dram less) for $160. Would this be a good fit for what I need or does anyone have any other suggestions? Limited-time deal: Kingston NV1 2TB M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Internal SSD Up to 2100 MB/s SNVS/2000G https://www.amazon.com/dp/B091BG4HDW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_dl_9QM3BK3ZM6G06MVZV35Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 I want to be less than $220 preferably as cheap as possible for what I need. Thanks in advance for the feedback
  5. Hi, I need advice for buying a new gaming laptop. I currently have a dell g3 with an i7-8750H and GTX-1060 maxQ. I wanted to get more into trying VR and my computer can’t keep up with it now. My budget is around $2000. I was looking at an ASUS - ROG Zephyrus G15 with a ryzen 9 and rtx3060 or rtx3080 I thought the 3070 version would be the best match but it’s not available anywhere. I want my new computer to be able to run new games for about 3-4 years and be able to run VR. I also want to not be horrible as an everyday computer like my g3 was. Do you guy think those would be good options or have any other ideas or suggestions on models to look at. Thanks
  6. it has a i78750H , gtx1060 it shows the one plunged into the onboard HDMI port Only even though one of the other two monitors is on and working. i am fairly sure the thunderbolt port is wired to the iGPU only.
  7. i have tried turning it off in display settings i have also tried only using to use the two HDMI ports on the dock and not plugging in the third monitor at all.
  8. Computer : Dell G3 3759 with thunderbolt 3 Dock: Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Mini hi, guys i am having a problem trying to get three monitors running on my laptop i was hopping you had some ideas. i am trying to connect one to the HDMI port and the other two to a thunderbolt 3 dock with two HDMI ports on it. the one connected to the HDMI port always works. however only one of the two in the dock will work at one time it seems to be whichever i plug in first. does anyone have any idea what is going on? i have read some laptops only support one display out from a single thunderbolt port if this is the problem is there anyway around it. Thanks
  9. Hi Guys, My laptop has m.2 WD Black sn750 boot-drive and an empty 2.5 inch bay. i wanted to add another drive for my steam library. i was looking at an Seagate Firecuda gaming 2tb for $99 or a Crucial mx500 2tb for $230. do you think the sdd is worth the extra $130 for a steam library? https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-FireCuda-Accelerated-Performance-ST2000LX001/dp/B01M1NHCZT https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-MX500-NAND-SATA-Internal/dp/B078C515QL thanks
