  1. Thanks for the input, I'm currently set up with my Focusrite Solo headphones and condenser mic using the Dolby Access app for virtual surround. Is the Hyper X Cloud better for gaming in that regard for say example Siege? (I appreciate it's a dead game to many but my son wants me to get in on it and have found the spatial awareness to be slightly limited on what I'm using.
  2. Got the opportunity to grab these for £46 or if I should stump up the extra £14 for the Hyper X Cloud II? I know they're generally a £100 headset but don't know if that normal £40 premium above the Clouds is worth it when they're in the same ballpark price?
  3. I've been running my MSI GS60 6QE Ghost Pro for the past 4 or so years (can't remember exactly) and while the 970m never set anything ablaze, for my requirements of needing a thin and light that I can use at home, work and travelling by train (live in the UK), the gaming has been of a sufficient standard but I also got it for a good enough price to be able to forgive it's short comings. Having said that, I played the entire Witcher series, Skyrim, Doom, Darksiders series, Castlevania Lords of Shadow series, Elite: Dangerous, Deus Ex series and FarCry 3&4 happily. The only games I came up against issues with was Space Hulk: Deathwing (heavy stuttering with too many Genestealers on screen) and Battlefield 4 the latter of which put me off FPS games having been a fan from the original PC Call of Duty/MOHAA days and through my XBox 360 interlude years. My question is this: Knowing what I've been used to and the fact my purchase needs to see me through another half decade of use, with RTX MaxQ designs crippled over the full fat or non maxq laptop derivatives the way they are, and that GTX laptops have been known to out perform them on release. Has their been a substantial enough movement with drivers etc since RTX MaxQ release that they won't leave me with buyers remorse 12 months from now? I've been looking at both the Alienware m15 & m17 that I can get both with 2070 MaxQ and Razer Blade Pro 17 with the RTX 2080 MaxQ. Obviously I'm looking to sufficiently enjoy Cyberpunk 2077 when it comes out but I'd really like to dive back into Space Hulk: Deathwing and truly appreciate what it has to offer properly. I also have the possibility of being able to stretch the Alienwares Area 51m with it's full fat RTX 2080 but the portability then becomes the issue. Is an RTX MaxQ worth upgrading to for longevity? MSI GS60 6QE Ghost Pro Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700HQ, RAM: 16GB Storage: 128GB SSD (PCIe Gen3x4) + 1TB SATA HDD (7200RPM) Graphics: Nvidia GeForce® GTX 970m 3GB GDDR5 As an addendum: My son is interested in VR and it would also be worth knowing if it's worth looking at headsets for this for Christmas for him to use with it if performance isn't an issue. Pls halp...
