  1. Hello Guys, I was trying to buy an VR headset from Oculus but i was wondering which i should get for PC. my questions are : 1- is the quest 2 visual performance and quality be as good as the rift s with usb C ? 2- will the quest 2 have bigger latency than the rift s ? 3- will the quest 2 be a good choice for my rig ?? My rig : intel I7-10700k 4.2ghz hyper x 32 gb ram 3200 mhz asus strix 2060 super OC edition asus strix z490 E-gaming asus strix thor 850 watt psu
  2. Hello guys, I was wondering what do you guys think if NVIDIA may support Re-Size BAR on the old RTX 20 super series or not ?? Because I only saw the 30 series will support in future updates.
  3. I didn't know that z490 motherboards supports pcie gen4 but what i know is intel cpu dont lol thanks for that info i guess intel have to do something about it
  4. it may not benefit them now but they might release it so that next year consumer will be aware of it and have an reason to upgrade for extra 40 fps i guess its just marketing
  5. good point,if next gen is really next gen that would benefits to use gen4 then im screwed cause i cant wait for my next build any longer i want it future proof i tend to upgrade rarely like buy the high end stuff and after 6 years upgrade again
  6. i hope this fail to be honest, i didn't like the idea of taking 5v from the motherboard because motherboard makers will charge more for extra 5v ports for it and i dont see the benefits of it mostly my device is on load and never idle which wont benefits most people,, i guess OEMs will adopt this feature since they sell governments and companies that have normal work load that usually on 40% load
  7. will if nvidia release a gen4 card this year i guess intel will be screwed i was wondering if they left empty pins in the socket to enable pci gen4 like amd
  8. is the nvme socket also could be pcie gen4 ??
  9. Hey guys , I was wondering about the PCIe gen4 and I'm really confused about it is it only for storage (M.2 NVMe) or is it also for the graphics cards ? I'd appreciate the explanation thanks
  10. oh i thought it did sometimes RAM issues behave like thermal throttling. also these temps are normal for a laptop just make sure its well ventilated
  11. I used to have an throttling issue on my device and after repasting and changed the heatsink fans the cpu tops at 68 and still got something like thermal throttling but after looking at everything turned out the cpu was waiting for the RAM to finish because the game i was playing needed more than 8 GB of RAM, hope it will help check your RAM dims cause my other 8 GB that i thought was working was dead and i was running 8 instead of 16
  12. TSMC can do a condition contract that if intel wants to manufacture there chips they have to sign for at least 15 years or so , I'm I right ?
  13. You mean the shadow cach and sun cach options ?
  14. the ram usage is at 7gb while in game do you think setting the paging manually on the ssd that the game is installed on would fix the issue ??
  15. I'm on the lowest settings possible 1080p + low settings also the recommended is i5 2500k mine is i7-3770k I'm pretty sure that i7-3770k is way better than i5 2500k
  16. Hello guys, Recently COD war-zone is acting up CPU usage drops + fps drops + freezes all over the place my setup is : CPU: i7-3770k turbo boost 3.9 Ghz CPU cooler: CoolerMaster v6 GT Ram: 8 GB GPU: RTX 2060S asus strix 8gb vram Motherboard: Asus Maximus IV extreme PSU: Evga 650W It is the only game with this issue and i know that this is a game optimization issues but no harm in asking what I did : 1- Turned off Intel speed-step option 2- Turned off CPU spread spectrum 3- Cleaned off the CPU cooler and applied new Artic thermal paste so CPU avg heat production 60c and maximum 68c so no reason for thermal throttling from that point 4- on latest drivers for my chip-set and graphic card 5- delete the whole game and reinstalled it twice 6- restarted shader installation 7- clean install for graphic driver nothing seems to be working note that Im playing red dead redemption 2 and other games with high - medium settings avg fps is 71 with max cpu usage at 100% and GPU is 40 - 50 % usage with no issues
  17. Damn you changed my mind hheheheh thats what I wanted to hear I guess thank you bro Also I'm running 2060s with i7 3770k but its just bad and bottle-necking in some games and i dont know when that cpu will break so ill go with AMD cause i will be waiting for zen3 and that would be better performance than the intel 10th gen by far I Hope
  18. thank you guys but I still don't know about gaming on AMD cause I saw lots of benchmark for gaming and most of the cases Intel wins with about 30 fps difference.
  19. thats the reason why i want to change to AMD cause intel are basically selling the same thing but with some tuning in my opinion for new boards bios updates lets say ASUS strix high end boards for a third world country as mine bios updates can be an issue for me as the electricity may go dark on me while I'm upgrading will that be a problem for new boards ?? as I'm still running my old ASUS Maximus 4 I dont know if its easier with new boards last but not least for Intel security holes i dont know anyone would want anything from me to hack my system so thats not an issue unless they can do a broadcast malware and f*cks every intel 10th gen machine on the planet that would be an issue
  20. yes I'm waiting for the end of this year to buy a decent pc and as for price i have around 1200 USD 1- price is not an issue here as i buy the best out of something because i don't like to upgrade each year. 2- i just wanted to make sure that the bios updates have no issue to fix as i never owned an AMD machine before but i know a a lot about them. also 3- some of my friends who own AMD have weird BSOD codes that never had with Intel and some weird games problems as well, ii know that each user tends to use his machine differently and there is a lot of stuff that may lead to these issues but those with Intel have never spoken about an issues in there systems same as me! lol. as for your points on 4 and 5 i always buy high end for example i buy everything asus strix and high end PSU such as EVGA or seasonic
  21. the reason I buy the best of the line is that i tend to upgrade very rarely
  22. Hello Guys, After the latest video for Linus about locking RAM frequency on B and H chip-sets for Intel MOB I decide after looong run with Intel to go team red on my next build by the end of this year but I still have my doubts about AMD listed below: 1- I feel Intel is better for gaming on most of the titles. 2- Bios issues and frequent Bios updates. 3- Windows support for AMD. 4- although I'm a network engineer and i have pretty much good knowledge about computers since I was 6 yo but i still want something reliable to game on after long day at work that will not ruin my day. 5- I'm rocking i7 3770k overclocked to 4.2 Ghz with 16gb of RAM since the CPU was released and never had a big problem with it like random shutdowns and game issues that need a bios update or any of that sort, So my next build must be as reliable as this one Please share your experiences with AMD / Intel builds and what do you recommend for an AMD CPU equivalent to i7 10700k. Note that I don't use my personal setup for programing or rendering or any of that sort I use different machines for each use case this one is pure gaming machine thanks upfront guys
  23. sorry I'm not very good with AMD gen thank you and i will consider this but i was wondering is 3700x have any bios issues and is it reliable for gaming ?? and if you have an AMD CPU do you have any problems with it ? I've never had an AMD product before so i was just wondering because i have couple of friends who had some issues with there AMD builds again thank you bro @TofuHaroto
