  1. Not sure if you're still here, seems i didnt respond either at the time. But the issue is gone after a clean install, but return shortly after. Like i can play one or two games after a fresh install and the problem returns.. NOTE: There isnt any programs i installed in the mean time of those games.
  2. Looking back at the original install date of my previous windows it was after installing my new cpu... however the fresh install fixed it thanks for you advice
  3. Just freshly installed windows with all disks formatted. Reinstalling drivers now. Will update you on the results later this evening
  4. DVR luckily is turned off. I'll give a fresh install a try sometime today or tomorrow I think. Since I can't really find any other culprit either. I'll keep you updated on the results. I'm also in talks with RIOT devs, they might be able to find the issue (I hope)
  5. Yeah I've only noticed it much in Riot games. I also play games like Forza horizon 4 and Satisfactory, those use up as much as 80-99% of my GPU whilst putting the cpu under load too. So that rules out (in my opinion) things like too weak of a power supply or an issue under combined load. I did upgrade to b450 and 3600, am not sure whether I have cleanly installed windows after that.. This would be my last resort of a solution since I don't have any drive to actively back-up too but I'll find a work around I think. Nevertheless I'd hope to exhaust any other options before reinstalling Windows
  6. I have both games and the riot client installed in my intel 660p nvme SSD, I'm on 451.67 driver version. With regards to gpu and amd chipset drivers are on version 2.05.04.352. Motherboard bios: MS-7B85 / 1.C0 VGA Bios 1F0
  7. sadly disabling HPET didn't change performance
  8. I originally started to realise i was having fps issues watching this video: at the given timestamp it shows my cpu + the one tier lower gpu beating my fps average by around 100 if not more
  9. I'll try this in a second, it's worth a shot.. I mean, haven't kept up-to-date with the GPU market since I bought my current one so it might be this one is getting outdated as well(?)
  10. Bios updated yesterday samn goes for chipset drivers. XMP is enabled or the memory wouldnt reach 3000mhz HPET, not sure... Could you explain this one to me?
  11. I am running a 144hz 1440p monitor, might have been smart to mention that. Will edit that in a sec. I have tried with both vsync on and off, both deliver the same results. Except that without vsyn the highest fps is somewhat higher. Something that might be relevant is that HWMonitor tells me tthat Utilization Limit = 1, so is turned on. This however could be down to the high cpu time not giving the GPU enough load..
  12. Hello, First and foremost thanks for taking the time to read this. Let's get on with it, I am currently running these specs (if i left any out feel free to ask): CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 @Stock GPU: MSI GTX 1080 TI Gaming TRIO MOBO: MSI B450 GAMING CARBON WIFI MEMORY: 32 GB 3000MHZ CL15 Corsair PSU: Corsair CX650 Monitor: AOC 27" 2560x1440 144hz FPS Results valorant: sometimes it reaches 144hz (both wtih vsync turned on and off), quite often spikes down to the 70-80 range.. FPS Results league of legends: mostly around the 120-130-ish. And the issues im facing are in both riot games actually, Valorant as well as League of Legends. The struggle I'm facing is that my CPU is mostly around 30% utilization and the same goes for my GPU. However what I notice is that I do not get 144fps, which I've limited it too nor does my gpu really seem to get any proper load. My CPU (Game) time seems fairly high whilst in a match of valorant. It has spikes of up to 12ms with about an average of 6.x ms, a friend of mine only has it around 2-4ms (he has the same CPU as i do). Does anyone have any tips regarding to the cause of this issue? Though the FPS numbers aren't necessarily bad.. I'd like to think my system should be capable of running atleast 144fps in both games.. Thermals aren't an issue as my CPU tops out at 55c and my GPU tops out at 40-45c whilst playing either of those games. Yours sincerely, Vlad
