MakubeX's Achievements

  1. Small update. Added another quick disconnect at the pump outlet and temp sensors (one after the pump and one after the CPU)
  2. Not always. I'm running an EK dual pump (you can see a pic in the water cooling gallery thread) and you can certainly hear it at max speed, and not due to vibrations on the case or anything but, the propeller.
  3. Does Asus provide software to control onboard fans? My guess is yes but I haven't bought an Asus board in a long long time. You can use that to set a specify the RPM of the pump or a fan curve which sets RPM based on a temperature sensor (CPU temp for example). You should be able to do all this in the BIOS as well. For example, I've attached a screenshot of what my pump curve looks like. I keep it at a quiet RPM until it hits 60C, then it rapidly spikes up.
  4. Industrial Silence The first pics is showing as it is now with the Optimus CPU block and last one shows how it was with the Aquacomputer Kryos NEXT silver block.
  5. Before removing anything, I'd try stopping/disconnecting all the fans at the bottom first. Leave the side fans as intake and the top ones as exhaust.
  6. At that point you're talking about phase change cooling, which is it's own thing and has been used to cool computers to get sub zero temps. It used to be more popular in the past. Here are some examples of phase change coolers for pc: http://www.ldcooling.com/shop/14-phase-change
