nope the drives are 320 and 500gb so in truenas if the drives are like that, it uses the least capacity amount and just doesn't use the remaining sectors on that larger drive yeah ik the whole setup with 2 cameras costed me about less than 80 bucks it has onvif and other good things. mostly i want to use them for presence detection for automations, etc. and i got my birthday money. so i want to do a of things with this. yeah it can be done. the dvr has also has onvif user profiles it searched the network and could find the dvr on it's own and just shows this error when i hit submit

So I had built a server from a lenovo low profile chassis 2 years ago as a NAS. It had been running FREENAS till now but switched to TRUENAS few days ago. Integration problem in home assistant via onvif. 2. Recording the footage to my NAS without an hdd inside the DVR and no i wasn't using home assistant on freenas before installation of TRUENAS FEEL FREE TO ASK ANYTHING

My thoughts about the transcoding on the mac pro are, just don't you will highly be cpu limited for transcoding on it rather use an OS which act like just a data holder and using client's horsepower to transcode it. Just find or build any pc like an core i3 9100 or something just yeet the things onto it and it should also handle transcoding if you are watching 1080p content. most probs is it could handle 4k but maybe not as much reliable, could be chugs here and there, just could be. I think an igpu will handle it but you could add a gpu if you want to but i would not if i am watching only at 1080p. But if you want to go balls to the wall, and have enough money to spend for it just buy a threadripper or xeon 16 core or maybe try amd consumer processors maybe a 5600 but as per the experiences with people of amd and servers and you would buy it once and not just buying selling to get perfect things, i suggest to go with xeon. if not serrver processor just go with the 5600. Yeah I think it will do the job but try to use that mac pro for storage doesn't matter how much storage

Hi actually I recently bought cheapo hp deskjet 2331 printer. As it does not have wireless connectivity for printing from, say a apple device, I tried to use CUPS for it to make it airplay/wireless printing with my raspberry pi 4. apparently cups does not have a driver for it and I can't find a ppd file for it. The hp's website just has the only solution to just install the application for the printer. I am really terrified rn can anyone help me with fooling CUPS or making it compatible, lol. PLEASEE Also a screenshot has also been attached not showing 2331 or 2300 series printer

ahhhh it also says about the type a usb as usb 3.0 and one type c as 3.1

device manager says 3.1 with 12 conductors present why can't it?

I had recently enough bought a laptop from honor magicbook 15 it has a type c port in device manager it shows 3.1 and I when I see the no. of conductor in to port there are 12 contact point in total So what does that mean? can it still do 10 gig or the extra conductor are mainly for thunderbolt?

you can try sometimes oem manufacturers lock down this feature

Hi I think this might solve your problem maybe the cable you are using is like a cat 5. Recently i bought like a 20 ft cat 5e but it was apparently cat 5 so maybe swapping out the cable might work cheers
