  1. You just use the promo code that was sent to your email, as long as you're logged into the same LTTStore account you used to buy it, you'll be able to apply it. Just earlier today an update email was sent mentioning the expiration date for the credits being extended so that the cable management stuff will be launched before it expires.
  2. Using the regular stream/convert buttons does allow me to set the file destination and name beforehand, but no matter if I do it the way you said or the way I have been doing it still opens the directory in C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC and I have to manually enter the correct folder I know this is kinda a petty issue but it's just annoying that I have to do it every time. I do have the folder pinned to quick access so it's not that bad, just wanted to see if anyone had actually found a way to change it in a config file or something
  3. I've been looking online for 30 minutes and can't find a way to change this. When using VLC's convert/save option, whenever you go to name the destination file it always opens in VLC's installation directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC). I want to have it default to open a different directory (E:\Plex\Media\TV Shows\) so I can easily just name the file and move on to the next one. Is there any way to do this? The only half work around I've found is closing out of the browse window and then going back in, but as soon as I open a new instance or restart VLC it reverts back to the default location. Since I'm converting multiple large files at a time this isn't viable.
  4. I don't think that's exactly it, or at least I would hope not given as far as large tech creators go there aren't that many main ones. At the end of the day if you just look at it plainly it really seems almost like a one-sided publicity stunt, we have all seen how fast it got into everyone's recommended (I think I've watched a total of 2 GN videos in the past 5 years and it showed up in mine almost instantly). Again even that is bad and honestly hoping that wasn't their true motive, but simply just looking at it how it is and how it presents itself, that's the way it comes off. You have to give Linus credit for not wanting to spur this into a giant drama fight on the platform.
  5. While the large majority of what Steve stated is true and in 'good faith', putting a video like that out without even bringing his concerns to the LMG team first is just not right. The only thing a video like that does is cause drama, issues, and bad blood, at the end of the day it WILL NOT change a business's practices. At a minimum, they should've reached out for comment and for a direct response from LMG, especially on the issues with sponsors where there's going to be communication outside of the public eye. Honestly, it's irresponsible and distasteful, especially since he made it abundantly clear that he knows there is going to be backlash in both directions, essentially putting communities against each other and attacking another media outlet. While again most of the allegations are true in full or in part, and should be called out, putting out what is basically an attack & shit-storm-starter without even getting a comment (aka failing to fact-check or make fully clear their own reporting on LMG issues with investments/sponsorships/partnerships) is just not how you handle it unless you're trying to cause an issue or tears between the two communities.
  6. Budget (including currency): ~$500 USD Country: US Use: Going to use this mainly as a storage server and sometimes for media. In the future maybe VMs or other stuff. Link to list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Bobbycat2414/saved/#view=TXkvjX Extra info: The reason I'm using a tower case instead of one made for a server with more 3.5"s or a rack-style is because; 1. I don't have a server rack. 2. I prefer to have the extra room to work with & the option to turn the server into a decent windows build in the case I need to replace a family member's. 3. I have a nice spot that fits it well. I've already decided I'll use either Unraid(Most likely Unraid) or TrueNAS Core. Let me know what you think or any adjustments you'd make, I may get some parts used, most likely the CPU.
  7. In the case of a top mounted radiator, I don't think it matters at all since the rad will be on the same level. If it was front mounted that would be different. Most people just mount it the other way for aesthetics. In terms of which way the pump is rotated on the socket, intel-wise it doesn't matter.
  8. Also make sure that the antivirus you have is actually legit and not one of spyware/mineware ones that through up fake warnings and use the PC's resources
  9. UPDATE: At the recent Best Buy drop, I was able to get an EVGA FTW3 3060Ti! It's arriving pretty soon and it is the last part that I need. The rest of the PC(Listed on my about me) is fully working!
  10. Basically, currently I use a HP Pavilion 15t which has an i7 8565U, 8 gigs of ram, and MX250(4Gb) The issue with this laptop is that the drive has been damaged in a way where it gets hung up at random times usually when at max utilization(Which happens a lot because of another issue with it) I've already sent it to HP and gotten a warranty "repair" on it, but they didn't fix the issue and falsely identified the AC adapter as the problem.(I already brought it to two local shops to get quotes and diagnostics, both returned that the drive had been overvolted or something) Recently I've been getting BSODs(Which have usually happened once a day from the issue) 2-3 times a day! I've lost school work and project files for a YouTube channel, and now I can't launch 75% of the games that I own. I have funds saved up to buy parts for a PC and have some already, but because of the GPU shortage, I know I'll have a low chance of getting a card. So should I have the drive replaced by the local shop who quoted around 500 bucks (because of how HP put the drive completely under everything else plus that it's a high performance 1TB Optane drive) or purchase all the remaining parts of the desktop I'm looking to build(The CPU, MBO, PSU) and hope to get lucky going to best buy or getting a card from Verified Actual Gamer program.
  11. Personally I would recommend swapping the M.2 for a ~250gb version and getting a mass storage full SSD or HDD especially if you are planning to do editing projects or renders. In terms of GPU upgradeability, the GPU is one of the easiest parts to upgrade even in pre-builts. All you would have to do is unscrew and unplug the current GPU and swap it out for your new one. But if you can, I would recommend waiting a bit to build because prices of some parts are somewhat high.
  12. Most likely not. It depends if the case itself has an OEM RBG controller, or even one that has more then 3 ports for RBG and or Fan Power. In terms of MacOS.. Why would you be trying to use Mac OS on a computer your building in this? Are you trying to do bootcamp or make a Hacintosh? But if you were able to connect the fans I believe Thermaltake has their own RGB Software that you would be able to use
  13. I don't know, I am not that experienced in the electrical part of laptops, you would most likely need to find a diagram of the wire connections on the laptop's display and a displayport cable and try to sodder them together if you can't find one.
  14. I would say it is highly doubtful, unless you go in and rewire the display wires to adapters that are usable. In terms of other parts, I guess you could re sell or re use the ram in another laptop. Uhh maybe the drive, but that would be all that would be easily usable.
  15. Now we just hope that NVidia has learned their lesson to actually build up stock if they say they will.
  16. I'm hoping to be able to get a 3070 tomorrow, just gotta get lucky!
  17. Well I was thinking that if they were thinking about using a vacuum cleaner, they weren't interested in spending much money. Also that fluid is just the air still in liquid form I believe.
  18. I would just use canned air to be on the safe side
  19. Maybe they would be used in a window display of a shop where the TV would be showcasing products, but the people inside could still look out? Idk it's weird
  20. Gotta say the title made me think you had a GPU branded from Dell as an optiplex series before I read the actual post
  21. Now I don't know if this would work since I haven't ever thought of it until now, but have your tried using a monitor or TV that supports window's wireless projection? I don't know if that would count towards the cap or not though.
  22. I am guessing the 465x or the other smart case Or ya know I could be completely wrong.
  23. Question out of curiosity, what case is that? Because that RGB hub looks like a corsair lighting node core somewhat
  24. I think it was smart, because at some point the 3080's price is going to come down and will be cheeper, and if you need more space on a drive, well ya need more space. In terms of the 3rd monitor, it was smart to buy a 1080p one instead of 1440p, because if it was going to just be a side monitor, not much point in spending a ton of money on high res.
  25. And also remember that you can resell the parts you are replacing, which could expand your budget, for example that GPU is still worth a few hundred bucks I would say, not an expert on 1050-1660 range.
