  1. I give up. I just bought Corsair 3200 c16 fro £60 delivered. I really wish the manufacturers would be more genuine with what speed ram run at. From what ive learnt from this forums and others, the 3200 cl16 is probably the same as 3600 cl19 (but £25 cheaper). Hope i did the right thing! Thanks to all for their input and help! Just need the 3300x's to come back in stock now!
  2. Here are the THREE!!!! 3600 variants on Corsairs site: https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE-LPX/p/CMK16GX4M2C3600C20#tab-tech-specs https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE-LPX/p/CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18#tab-tech-specs https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE-LPX/p/CMK16GX4M2D3600C18#tab-tech-specs
  3. I just came across these on amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-VENGEANCE-PC4-28800-Desktop-Memory/dp/B083JX396K/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=corsair+lpx+3600&qid=1594374934&sr=8-6 Cheaper, DDR 3600 but it says C20?! Should i get this or the more expensive ones? Buying parts is so damn complicated! Thanks
  4. Sorry, my knowledge is a little lacking. So they are running the faster one at higher clock speed, hence why the latency is higher?, if if they ran the SPD speed at the same for each, they would infact have the same latency? Thankyou all!
  5. Hi all, Corsair have two versions of their 2*8GB DDR4 3600 RAM offerings : https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE-LPX/p/CMK16GX4M2Z3600C18#tab-tech-specs SPD Latency 18-18-18-43 SPD Speed 2666MHz SPD Voltage 1.2V Speed Rating PC4-28800 (3600MHz) https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/VENGEANCE-LPX/p/CMK16GX4M2D3600C18#tab-tech-specs SPD Latency 15-15-15-36 SPD Speed 2133MHz SPD Voltage 1.2V Speed Rating PC4-28800 (3600MHz) One has a higher SPD speed and higher latency The 2nd has a lower SPD speed and lower latency. Which is the best? Money wise, there is £4 in it, so cost isnt a problem here. Im pairing it with a 3300x and Steel Legend. Thankyou!
  6. Thanks for all the advice, im going to go for the Arock, however there is a B450M Pro4 and a B450M Pro4-F ?!?! Why do they do this?! Are they the same or is one better? I cannot see any obvious differences on their site!
  7. Perfect - i wonder why they dont list 3600 as compatible? Very very confusing. Thanks - I tihnk ill buy this one, any better for less than 100 you'd recommend?
  8. Wow thanks for the super quick replies! So if the 3300x supports 3600Mhz RAM, the Asrock B450M Pro4-F should also be able to run the RAM at this speed? Im not bother by lights etc, infact id prefer not to have them so the Pro4-F ticks all the box's esp with USBC.
  9. Hi, so im going with a 3300x and a 1660 super OC GPU. Now the confusion starts - the motherboard! It needs to be mATX and have 4 RAM sockets (so i can expand in the future). There are a selection of boards within budget, but i do not know which one to buy. Whats the most important item? All of them support different max RAM speeds from 3200 upto 4400. Should i base my decision on max ram speed? (I was going to buy 2x8gb 3600). Some have a USB C port, that maybe handy. Audio - some have ALC887 or 892 - ?) So at the end of the day, im not sure what to base my decision on - its so much harder than i expected! Here are the mATX b450 boards ive picked out so far: Board Asus Prime B450M-A, max ram speed 4400 OC, alc887 Asrock B450M Steel Legend, max ram speed 3466+ OC, alc892, usb-c MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX, max ram speed 3866, alc892 Gigabyte B450M DS3H , max ram speed 3600 OC, alc887 Asrock B450M PRO4-F, max ram speed 3200+ OC, alc892, usb-c So what should i go for and why please (or another board ive missed!) ? Additionally, why do some of them say, max ram speed 3466+ OC for example? With all of your help, hopefully Ill be able to decide - thankyou
