  1. Spec: R5 5500u Ram:2x8 gb (it was 1x8) Storage:m.2 SSD 256 GB Charger:45w I bought this laptop in Serbia with a Serbian keyboard and saw a bunch of reviews about the chip, I play Dota 2, and payday is nothing too demanding. Problems: So I know that chip is rated from 8w-30w and usually companies lock it to 15W, but my laptop behaves differently. When the laptop is below 60% battery life laptop goes on its head, it turbo to 30W for a short time usually and then drops to 2W and it does that constantly, it's not when I play Dota or some other game that kind of behavior is present whatever I do with the laptop(stream videos, watch youtube, browse the web) and in those ups and downs the system is unusable. I updated the bios multiple times and now I am in the latest bios and the problem persists. What I did: Downgraded the system to Windows 10, and I read that Windows 11 was bad for Ryzen systems. Tried the power management thing to set it on 97% when plugged in. I installed all the chipsets and drivers on the latest version. What kinda worked but did not: I installed the Universal x86 Tunning Utility to try to limit it to 8w/15w/20/25w in hopes that I fix its 30W spike that slows down the system, but it kinda worked. The 8w/15w preset worked well, temps were okay in cinebench (58c-65c) but the problem is when I go to 20W (sometimes) when the temperatures go over 72c it will go back to 15W and it won't go to 20w. Then after more observation without the program, I noticed that my laptop throttles at 73c, and that is why I have those weird bugs. When it spikes to 30w it will raise the temperature to 76c in a second, coolers can't keep up with it in that second and it will throttle it back to 2W so it can cool down. I can't modify anything in bios, because it is really basic, somewhere I read there are advanced bios buttons but I can't find what button that is. Any1 have any idea how can I let it go more than 72c which is low temperature for any chip.
  2. Thank you for your answers so a little update on what I did So I have an old pc that I know for a fact is working its a i5-3570 mobo:msiB75 I started with elimination. I wanted to eliminate PSU and GPU. So my old pc would not also boot with the PSU, same thing happens fan spins but it won't boot, so I took the old PSU from that PC its an old generic MS bad PSU that I got with that computer when I got it from my parents and I know for a FACT that PSU works. I plugged that PSU because of curiosity in my old system and then "WHOALA" the same thing happens. I dint use 1070 with that PSU I used an HD 7850 just to get a picture and it is the same, GPU fan spins at full blast, CPU fan is just spinning nothing more. No post no nothing. that is kinda strange. I am hoping that PSU dint short something inside my old pc and it friend everything, or here in my country our power delivery infrastructure kinda suck and atm there are some strong winds, so maybe just maybe it's electricity. I'll dig some more and update what I did next About the hacks I get it cpu from aliexpress and the hacks are not connected Thank you once more for answering I am hoping that we will figure this out for other poor souls like me who are in same position like me
  3. spec: Mobo: asrock b450 pro4(bios 5.6) Cpu: ryzen 5 5500 ( i had 3400g but swap it for this one) Gpu:1070 msi aero Cpu cooler: arctic freezer 34 m.2: some generic Samsung 240 nothing fancy storage: Kingston 240GB basic one I use it for dota and cs go to load faster Wd: generic 500 GB hard disk that I store all games that are 100GB plus Casefans: 3x NZHT P series PSU: Coolermaster MWE White 600w So let begin I had ryzen 5 3400g that I swapped with ryzen 5 5500 that I bought from aliexpress for 83 euros plus shipping. It came without a cooler. It arrived I updated mobo bios to 5.6 (it was the latest at that time) boot into windows(dint reinstall it) played some games everything worked perfectly. The cpu cooler that I use for it keeps my cpu cool at gaming (max temp under stress-test 65*) The first problem I had when i played doom eternal, it just rebooted my pc, temps were fine, cpu was around 56* gpu was around 60*, so I decided maybe I put to much pressure on my tower cooler on cpu that it causes some problem. After that everything worked like a charm. Like 10 days ago I started to see some unauthorized entry on my google account, steam account, discord, Facebook, instagram ect ect. Somehow someone managed to follow 500 people on my instagram profile. While that was happening I wasn't at my home so I could not react. I called my sister to go to my home and plug out the pc from the wall because I know someone gained access to it. After that couple day has past and my sister's kids wanted to play some Minecraft, they turned on the pc and launched Minecraft, and pc shut down rebooted with fans on max for a few sec and it go back to windows, they tried because they are a young couple of times and the same thing have happened. I instructed again my sister to plug the pc from a wall and that when I come home ill handle that. When I came home and wanted to start my pc everything booted just fine, I disconnected pc from the internet and I did some basic antivirus scans. It found something and I deleted it. I did some stress tests to see what will happen and it happens. My pc rebooted with full fan spinning posted, and back to windows. The second time it allowed me to do the stress-test cpu and it held it for 10 minutes without shutting down. I plugged in a USB with fresh windows installer and reinstalled my pc. Now I can't get to the windows and if I do get in windows it let me be there for a couple of minutes and that's all. It also froze in bios many where I wanted to check maybe its the temperatures but it was not. What I did so far: Reinstalled windows with fresh drivers Reseated ram stick Reseated cpu and cooler Reseated gpu Removed cmos battery Checked on bios is C-States activated (it was deactivated) Reseated all cables and double checked they were connected properly And now while I am writing this from my laptop and want to boot on my pc it wont, fans are just spinning and that all no beeps from mobo speaker nothing
  4. While back i got an 1070 with error 43. I try everything but i could not revive it . The bios rom was altered. You could try to use the flash tool to repair it. I have 7970 at home that i bought check maybe it has a switch for second bios
  5. I found 1050ti for cheap (60 euro) it is strix variant eith 2 fans. I put in in my computer, and it fired sucesfuly. I did some stress test everything is ok with it temp are in 60c. Wheb i shut down my pc and try to boot it back again the card would not boot, the pc switch me to my iGPU (i have r5 3400g). When i plug hdmi cable in mobo and i opet device menager it dint detect the gpu. I remove the bios battery and put it back in fire up the pc and gpu worked. After the shut down it will nkt work. When the gpu post the fans spins for 3 4 sec and then stops but when it does not want to post fans are still. When i put the pc to sleep it shut down and when i try to start the pc it switch me to iGPU. Usualy when i remove bios battery and let the mobo for few hours it will start the gpu. One time it started without removing the batery. Any1 has some suggestion what cluld be the problem?
  6. I have asrock pro 4 and i would like to use my apu and gpu at the same time. I have r5 3400g and i would like to use it for my 3 monitor. In bios i can switch eather using integrated or extrenal gpu. On google i found some asrock mobo has multimonitor setting that alows to use apu but mine does not. Do you know where should i search for that settings
  7. Do you know what is best version for 10 series
  8. It is real deal, i opened it and cleaned the cip and it says 106
  9. i bought cheaply 1070 that was used in sli config. the guy marked it in not working condition (no videou output) but in sli it worked while he was benchmarking it. So i saw videos on youtube how you can use amd apu to passthru video out but use gpu power to render the game. i put everything in the case, switched in bios primary gpu integrated. firstly i had some errors 43 but sometimes when i reset the computer or when i disable and enable the driver in device menager it disapears. when i download gpu-z to see if it is working properly it says memory 0 gpu clock 0 and bios unknown. When i click look up it brings me up manli 1070 but my card is asus turbo. i try to nvflash it but when i do protectoff EEPROM not found. I also have a choice to switch it with 1060 3g that is working and to give can someone suggest what should i do picture of gpu z below
  10. Yes i only used 2 holes for mounting, and i used 2 more zip ties to go acros 2 zip ties to strenthen it even more. The card is going left and right. Problem is that i cant find the same cooler in my country so i have to work whit what i have. I give you some more pictures dowb below
  11. yes only two zip ties, i cant mount it without it becausse its 2 holes on that cooler but 4 on gpu
  12. So i got an hd 7970 for 30 euro. the card works and it came with arctic accelero extreme gtx pro that wasnt mounter properly (its for gtx card and mounting bracket it diferent) so i striped the guys work and i cable tied to chip of gpu. i will provide the pictures of contact below. SO because i dint get the vrm and voltage regualtor heatsinks i put the cooler on top of it just to check will it cool it down.In gpu-z stress test the gpu get to 94c in 4-6 sec,and when i stop it it goes back to 40c in 4-6 sec. after that the card wont turbo to its full core speed but it turboes to half of it but temp stays in 60-70c so what could it be not proper contact or because i dint cool down the vrms or?
  13. So you say cpu cooler would be enought to cool it off?
  14. What can i understand it is the original plate with fins and the guy cut the fins put 2 holes and crew the cooler on top of it
