I am thinking about upgrading my Graphics card for better performance. I currently have an RX 580 and it works, but I want to game at 1440p 144hz and it just can't do that. I mostly play Rocket League, and I emulate Wii and 3ds. I mostly want a new card for 3ds emulation, as it is crap on RX 580 and runs at 2 FPS. I mostly use windows, but I am going to switch to Linux in the near future. I was thinking of an RX 6650xt ($349.99) or an RX 6700xt ($414.99). I want the cheapest card that is capable of these things. Any feedback would be appreciated!

I have an Envy X360 and the screen has a crack in it because of the broken hinge. It is falling apart and I am wondering if it is possible to remove the top/lip of the laptop and just use an external monitor.

I'd change to a Ryzen 7 5700x, the performance is almost the same and you save a few bucks.

I am looking for a low profile budget graphics card to upgrade my garbage dell prebuilt. It needs to have no external power, and under $100. I'm not doing much other than light gaming at 1080p, like minecraft and roblox. I mainly just watch youtube and talk to friends on discord. I was looking at a gddr5 1030, but they are hard to find. Any suggestions would help!

Agreed, or you could save some money and buy a 5600g/5700g depending on you budget, and get a 3080 or 6800 xt for less than that 3060 when prices settle. What do you do on your pc?

You shouldn’t need a new cooler as long as you get low profile ram. What is your current cooler? Do you think it would be beneficial to get more ram? Threadripper pro supports up to 512gb of ram or something high like that.

Do you need rgb? And what are you doing?

Why 8x8gb? To fill ram slots?

If it’s super expensive I’d just wait if already have something, but if you are building a new pc you should get a 5600g or a 5700g
