  1. Unfortunately my PSU doesn't. Maybe these long server units would fit, but I feel the best would be an external brick I know I have a lot to do to make it work, but that's what I love about it. I think this would make this tiny Optiplex that much more special and personal. Honestly, I do have a standard size case which is currently holding the components in it, but I want to squeeze everything into this old box. How much do you figure an external PSU would go for?
  2. Country: Ireland The rig is meant for 3D Modeling and rendering, CGI and programming mostly. Existing parts: Case: Dell Optiplex 7010 Motherboard: MSI B150M PRO-VDH GPU: NVIDIA Rog Geforce GTX 1050 Ti CPU: Intel i5 7600k RAM: two 2gb sticks Disk: 2 Samsung 500gb 860 SSD PSU (considering replacing it): EuroTech bronze 550w peak power unit I have an old Dell Optiplex 9060 tower that I want to populate with a modern MSI motherboard, a medium size Nvidia graphics card and two SSDs. My main problem is that the GPU is taller than the case is wide, so I have to mount it parallel to the motherboard somehow, I am even considering cutting out a ventelation hole on the side wall of the case for the GPU's integrated fans. I also want to upgrade my RAM as I bought the cheapest sticks possible when I bought the components as I was low on cash. My motherboard can support 4 sticks and I intend on eventually populating all 4 slots with some decent memory cards, if someone could suggest a RAM for this project, I would appreciate it The other major issue is the PSU. I am afraid to consider anything less than 450w and I can't find a solution that would fit inside this tiny case. I am considering an external PSU like some all in one PCs, but I need help finding one that is safe to use. I also don't intend on saving money by buying a sketchy PSU, I want a reliable, quality solution for power supply.
