    G29 or G293

Hey Guys, So I am looking to buy a full driving simulator, and I'm not sure which to go for. I'm looking at either the G29 or G293 for an extra $100 NZD. Any opinions on which to go for? Just for casual gaming, nothing serious. PC as well. But both are on sale and just deciding if the price gap is worth it or not. Cheers!
  2. hmmm, Very mixed answers! Let me give my situation as well. I will be gaming at 1440p, 144 hz, utilizing ray tracing on all the new games coming out (Tick for nvidia so far). I don't need all the fancy shadowplay and all that shit, and I finished building my computer 2 months ago and just need a gpu (tick for AMD) I don't care which is technically more powerful and gets the extra 6 fps, woopty-fuckin-do! as long as either card performs well at 1440p, 144 frames I'm sold on either (no ticks yet as no real benchmarks for amd) At this point, I've already spent the money on NVIDIA, so getting the slight refund for switching to AMD isn't a deciding factor for me. I have always been very impressed with Geforce Experience as far as driver's and driver updates, and I am unsure of what the AMD software is like. Any new suggestions based on this information is highly appreciated!
  3. Hey guys, SO... I am on the waiting list for my RTX 3080, but have been told by my supplier that it won't arrive until possibly early next year... I have always run with NVIDIA and never even considered AMD GPU's before. But, I have been told by my supplier I can switch my order to AMD and get that card sooner without being on as long of a waitlist (depending on stock). SO. My question is. What do you think I should do? Stick to NVIDIA RTX 3080 and wait a month or 2, or go for the 6800XT? And hopefully get it on release date or a week or 2 after. Give me as much input as you can on both cards, preference and any other information! I wanna know what is best! Cheers guys!
  4. Hey guys, I am building a (relatively) high-end gaming computer, and I have every part but the GPU - yay! I need some help choosing one though! My original plan was to buy an RTX 2080 super (For roughly $1,500 NZD, yes prices for parts in New Zealand are crazy!), but with the new 3000 series that would just be silly. The dilemma I am in is do I spend less money (roughly $1,000 NZD) on the RTX 3070 (Less money, still a major upgrade from the original planned 2080 super), or spend equal money to what I had planned, and get the RTX 3080 ($1,600 NZD) My next question is, will I be bottlenecked by my CPU if I do end up going for the RTX 3080. Here is my current part list: CPU: Ryzen 7, 3700x Mobo: MSI MAG x570 Tomahawk RAM: G.Skill, Z-Neo 32gb, 3600 MHz Case: Lian Li, Lancool II (Mesh) Cheers for the help guys!
  5. My main concern is budget, I don't have the means to increase past the like of a 2080 super price (Which is up to $1500 NZD), so depending on the price to performance ratio of the new cards, and when they are announced will be my deciding factor, as I won't be buying the 2080 super for another month yet...
  6. Regardless of how much better the new cards will be, the 2080 super will still be an amazing card, new cards will always be just around the corner. My budget is strapped to the 2080 super range, and the 2080 super won't suddenly become useless once the new ones drop... So, unless the new cards have an equal or better card for the same price range, then I will wait, but until the prices drop I'm settling for a 2080 super...
  7. Hey guys, For my build, I will be using an RTX 2080 super, and I'm not sure what company I want to buy from. I am debating between MSI's Super Gaming X TRIO, with a boost clock speed of 1845 MHz, or Gigabyte's 2080 Super Gaming, also with 1845 MHz boost clock, which is $100 cheaper than MSI. I am open to suggestions on other 2080 super cards, but I would like similar or better boost clock speeds, and 3 fans. Thanks guys!

    Air Pressure

Hey Guys, I was just wondering if having a mesh case, (Lian Li Lancool II Mesh) effects air pressure in the case. I am planning on having 3 intake fans at the front, and 3 exhaust fans at the back (1 on the rare and 2 on the top of the case), but will the mesh front, and shroud effect the air pressure in the case? e.g. to achieve neutral air pressure, should I install an addition exhaust fan above the shroud? Thanks.
  9. Underneath the glass side panel is mesh I meant.
  10. I'm planning on getting an MSI 2080 super Trio, but I'm not sure on the sizing and all that. Also, what do you mean by TG Afaik?
  11. Hey guys, I'm planning on getting the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh case, and wanted some input on the vertical vs horizontal GPU mount debate, using Lian Li's Lancool II vertical GPU mount accessory! With the new mesh on the side of the case, will it perform equal or better thermally than the traditional horizontal mounted GPU? Also, has anybody heard of or experienced any issues or anything with a vertically mounted GPU. Appreciate your thoughts and input! Thanks!

    Noctua Help

Yes, I know they sell the 12 in chromax, but not the 14, I want to get the 14 and hopefully use the 12's accessories on it to hide the fact the 14 is not chromax

    Noctua Help

Hi, I want to buy the NH-U12S chromax, and equip it with 2 fans and its heatsink covers for the best appearance possible. But I also had in mind the NH-U14S for it's superior performance. The NH-U14S unfortunately doesn't come in Chromax, or have the same accessories as the NH-U12S (Heatsink covers). SO My question is, if I buy the NH-U14S, AND the chromax heatsink cover designed for the NH-U12S, will it fit in the NH-U14S version? I ask this purely as the colour of non-chromax noctua coolers is just awful. SO, if I were to get the NH-U14S, I would equip it with 2 chromax black Noctua fans, and HOPEFULLY, if anybody knows if it will work, also the NH-U12S's chromax heatsink cover. Basically, I want to get the NH-U14S, and Hopefully, if it fits, apply the NH-U12S's Chromax accessories (chromax heatsink cover) to put on the Nh-U14S, to hide the awful non-chromax appearance, I just want to know if that will fit. I hope this made sense... Thanks.
  14. So you guys think that the Noctua NH-U12S with 2 120mm fans on it will be enough to keep my 3700x in tune? I was considering the NH-U14S, but it isn't available in Chromax, and aesthetics are important to me so that's a no-go. and the NH D-15 won't fit over my Ram. Also, will the Air cooler tower block things such as the 2 top mounted exhaust RGB fans or RAM RGB from being visible?
  15. Hi, I am a first time PC builder, but I have done a LOT of research, and I have nearly finalised my build. The only thing left, is to decide on my CPU cooler... I will be running the 3700x on the ASUS ROG STRIX x570-e motherboard, and I am caught up between Air and AIO cooling. My main concerns are, of course reliability and how long they last, as well as aesthetics (Fair amount of RGB in my build, Lancool II, Z-Neo RAM, NZXT AER2 case fans, ASUS RGB 2080 Super GPU)... For liquid cooling, I had selected the Corsair iCUE H150i RGB PRO XT 360mm AIO, as I have yet to see a review of failure for this cooler. I am sure this would be plenty of cooling capacity for my 3700x. On the other side, I don't want to have to worry about potential damages to my other components due to malfunction in the AIO, so air cooling was also in mind. I also previously planned on getting the NZXT Kraken x73, but was put off by the abundance of people saying their pump failed, leaked, and otherwise broke within months or installing, and NZXT helpline was useless in fixing these problems. For air cooling, I had in mind the Noctua NH U12-S Chromax Black. Purely as once this is installed, I "Shouldn't" have to worry about any damages upon it malfunctioning (in rare case). I was planning on attaching a second Noctua 120mm fan to this to maximise it's performance. Between these 2 that I have in mind, what are your opinions, good, bad, and inbetween on my selections, and do you have any other suggestions? Thanks.
