  1. https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwjH0OLvhNPqAhVU-FEKHb2IAZEYABAFGgJ3cw&sig=AOD64_1YAQKVEHiqonlyO_wpk6d8_xtFFQ&adurl&ctype=5&ved=2ahUKEwiG-tjvhNPqAhUTLxoKHaAZCgAQvhd6BAgBECc Im looking at getting the above monitor. my issue is that i cant find many reviews on it at all, or even any pictures of it on a desktop. the 8ms response rate doesnt bother me, i dont play games where that might be noticable. i was rather interested at the 34" UWQHD screen for only $400. any advice here? seems... almost too good. but westinghouse is known for selling electronics on the cheap. EDIT: actually. this just looks better.. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DR5PG8S?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1
  2. thats a comment im getting a lot, unfortunately ive been doing console gaming for a while now and im looking to switch back over to PC. i cant exactly wait... well i could.. but i dont want to. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  3. Buying parts for a gaming rig right now. im wondering which RTX 2070 S is better. i wanted to keep the price at or around $500. so far ive found these two. Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 S windforce OC 3x Video Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 S not sure if theres much of a difference here other than the fans
  4. if you look up some reviews on the laptop, you will find that every one says something about the thermals being pretty bad with the razer. its not that the CPU/GPUs run overly hot (between 80c and 90c with most modern games), but the case itself gets very hot. Most of the reviews say that the area above the keyboard and the bottom of the laptop were sitting around 120 freedom units while gaming. i had the same expereance with my razer blade as well.
  5. If youre willing to sac some performance to get a better feeling laptop, Razer is worth it. They feel like a macbook with the solid aluminum case, and the screen quality is very good. Their laptops run quite hot though, i would recommend a cooling pad for any gaming at all. I havent had a razer laptop in a few (a lot) years.. i had the v2.. so dont take my word as gospel. I have hear that things have only gotten better.
  6. The thumb pad isnt a joystick unfortunately. you could set it up to control the cursor, but it would be rather od.
  7. Have you used any of the Corsair HydroX products? i cant exactly watch videos reviews or anything out here, but what ive read is that they are pretty stuck into their own ecosystem. which might not give the greatest flexability.
  8. Thanks for the suggestion.. one option would be to lower the cost of my GPU and then spend the money on the new gen when it comes out.. i dont have a gaming PC at this time (been a console gamer for the better part of 6 years), so i cant just wait. a definite maybe though!
  9. Ouch.. ill definitely be around in the fall. im only in the navy.. sitting out here on the longest underway in modern history.. anyway... i think the link i gave was bad, as it should be listing a Ryzen 7 not a 5. heres a new one, and ill update the original post. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Morale56/saved/#view=2TMqpg
  10. Budget (including currency): ~$1900 Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Preparing for cyberpunk (will be the most intensive game ill be playing.) Other details This is the current selection of parts im looking at https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Morale56/saved/#view=2TMqpg I want to get into water cooling. as a beginner in this area, and the set up costing a decent bit of money, i decided to look at getting a kit instead of buying every part individually. If i enjoy the water cooling aspect ill invest more into it. The kit i found is https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-classic-kit-p360-d-rgb. Let me know if you have any suggestions. im looking at buying this in the next few days, so i will have it before i get home from deployment.
