As a OP5 owner, I was kinda pissed when I read about the whole not being about to stream HD video thing came out. However, I've been watching videos on Youtube and Netflix without any issues/ notice any drop in quality that really negatively effect my media consumming experience. I'm happy that One Plus are doing the right thing and addressing the issue and covering any courier service to send the phone. I mean it does suck that this is even an issue at all and the turnaround time to get your phone updated would realisticly be about 2 weeks from start to finish is just inconvient as most people don't have a backup phone to use in the mean time. I'm personally on the fence on wether or not I'm going to go through the hassle to trying to get this fixed since it so much more work to factory reset my OP5 (cause to you really trust One Plus with the data on your phone?) and setup my old Moto G2 as a temp for 2 weeks. And all this work to fix something I don't really visibly notice day to day but know in the back of my mind that the streaming quality could be better

This is actually a really cool find! I wonder which direction GIgabyte would try to go with; bigger PCB/heatsink like Zotac or downclock the GPU a bit to keep thermals in check. Casue making a 1080ti the same size as their other itx cards would be an amaing engineering feat. And on the topic of itx GPUs, I wonder if the teased Nano version of AMD's Vega RX GPU (RX NANO?) that was shown when Vega originaly launched could keep up to a downclocked 1080ti or would they perform similarly

OnePlus accidentally left an application which can allow for root access
FourCorners replied to D13H4RD's topic in Tech News
I would, there isn't really any other phone on the market that offers the same high end specs for a similar price other than maybe the Huawei p10 but I ironically like the the software on my OP5... I always keep my phone in developer mode even tho I don't really have any use for thise settings. And I'm not really cooncerned about someone getting their hands on my phone, like I don't even have a password on my lock screen... -

I don't really know what to feel as I read this thread on my realatively new One Plus 5... I've been happy with the performance of my OP5, however all this news coming out about OnePlus doing all this shady shit doesn't really aspire confidence -

That would make it "safer" for both the user and the company

AMD stock price falls >20% in single day on lackluster Q1 earnings.

I'm just saying that it's a lot easier to market and sell with bigger numbers on your box compared to your competator's -

My point was aimed more towards Ryzen, as barely being able to push 4ghz doesn't sound nearly sound as flashy as getting over 5Ghz on air on Intel's parts in terms of marketing towards the mainstream market who don't realize that the perfomence is comparable and don't give about pipelines However, the same can be said for Polaris vs Pascal as Pascal can brag about being cabale of clocks over 2ghz while AMD are still battling out the $200 USD market with their current gen of cards -

I can agree that AMD's overclocking perfomance has been lacluster at best, but my main point is that the average non-tech savvy consumer who walks into Bestbuy to buy a prebuilt would still be will to spend the extra $100 on an Intel based system over a comparable AMD rig solely on that fact that the Intel sticker gives them more confidence that they are buying a superior product (similar to somebody buying an Apple product) -

I have to agree that AMD still needs to build its brand reputation as it needs to break away from its "budget option" stigma in the general public's eye and into another option for high end perfomance parts before they can expect to see any huge gains -
