  1. Your profile picture suggests that women are air-heads, I am offended on their behalf and you should take it down immediately.
  2. It appears that you are though. Faux-offense on behalf of others is what you just did.
  3. As boggy77 said, you want to aim for 3600MHz RAM with a CL as low as you can afford/find. 16 is common, 14 is expensive and may ultimately not benefit you much for your expected use. The 3950X is a beast, and will absolutely do what you want, and more. Remember: there is always something better that's going to come out. However, as we are so close to the launch of Zen 3, you should wait on this - if only to see the pricing impact. Motherboard wise, as this is a workstation, and probably not going to be overclocked (much), you could just get whatever is affordable given the RAM spec change above. If the X570 and B550 are the same price, then take the X570, but the B550 is fine. As for brand - all the big names, it tends to come down to little differences like having USB-C front panel connections. Worth spending some time comparing specs for these little things, as the main functionality is going to be the same. As for case... that's a really subjective choice. Beyond making sure it has the functions you need or want (USB-C front etc), it down to what you like the look of, ultimately. I also hate RGB, and I tend to go for Fractal Design cases that have no side window, like the XL R2 (currently housing my main server).
  4. If you can wait, then wait for the release and subsequent reviews and benchmarks for Zen 3, from the usual suspects: LTT - for watching Linus drop it on day one (destruction testing A++) Gamers Nexus Jayztwocents etc
  5. Find out what's using the CPU so much first. Task Manager, Details tab, sort by CPU %. Could also use Resource Monitor (type that into the Start Menu), as you can sort my average CPU use, which could be more useful. Looks like this: As it's stuttering, also check the list in Resource Manager for "System Interrupts", highlighted above with a red rectangle; should be almost 0 CPU use. Certainly 1 or less at idle. If it's not, check this thread out:
  6. There is only one website: http://maddox.xmission.com/
  7. She doesn't know what she's talking about, basically. Most office workers spend that long sat at a PC, doing something they hate. You're enjoying hobbies. Probably jealousy. Carry on. Do make sure you get exercise though.
  8. If it was the web-installer (small download that then downloads more when you run it), then try the full installer instead: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=8109 Alternatively, check this article for how to manually copy the right files: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/910813/game-error-the-file-d3dx9-xx-dll-was-not-found

  10. You want to make an anagram finder?
  11. Nope, he has T230 (Tab 4 7.0), and those are for Tab 4 8/10. Latest ROMs are all 4.4.4 - some with theme changes to make them look like Marshmallow and Pie. Someone claims to be working on a new ROM on the forum for it, but don't rely on it happening.
  13. If he somehow blocked a system process, it could behave that way.
  14. You may as well have been asking about Beats headphones - they're that level of terrible.
  15. Gold is "better", however, the difference is quite minimal tbh. You're talking 5% between Bronze and Gold. https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/blog/80-plus-platinum-what-does-it-mean-and-what-is-the-benefit-to-me
