  1. no update, though its likely for me to buy a new PSU soon. considering leadex superflower or something. my current psu is MWE... not sure what it has to do with V1 or V2, not currently anyways. gotta go check.
  2. sorry for late reply. motherboard was MSI X470. Not sure if voltage is unstable though.
  3. i have updated my bios in order to use OCCT actually. so i guess its time to get a new PSU then?
  4. So since my last issue with my PC, someone suggested to run OCCT on my computer and see how it goes. the reason why i do this test is because occasionally my PC will be hit by 3 issues: sudden unexplained restarts (nothing on event viewer), nvlddmkm and hard hang. initially i thought this is due to the GPU, but someone told me to test it out first before i replace it. Upon testing, most of the components are okay except for the power test. Tried both times, lasted for less than 5 minutes for both tries. after i realised that PSU could be the culprit, i searched it up, and apparently it is quite possible that faulty PSU can cause all these issues as well. also the issues usually happens when the PC is idle, only once it happened when i was playing a game. Does this mean I should get a new PSU? If yes, what are some good recommendation? Currently my system is as follows: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: ASUS Dual GTX 1650 PSU: CoolerMaster 750W MWE RAM: G. Skill Aegis 32GB
  5. sorry for late reply. OS and GPU drivers are fully updated. not overclocking anything, before the restart or anything. RAM tested with memtest, but will try it again later. power supply is coolermaster MWE750 80 plus gold. yeah i understand that these doesnt mean that GPU is faulty. it plays GTA fairly well, stress test was all okay. but then again, it is the source of the problem definitely... just not sure how.
  6. So currently my new build will still sometimes restart itself without any warning at all. As mentioned last time, it is suspected that this is due to GPU. Although all drivers has been updated, this still happens. The reason why I am pointing this at GPU is because of this error I found in event viewer: A corrected hardware error has occurred. Component: PCI Express Legacy Endpoint Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express) Primary Bus:Device:Function: 0x27:0x0:0x0 Secondary Bus:Device:Function: 0x0:0x0:0x0 Primary Device Name:PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1F82&SUBSYS_86B61043&REV_A1 Secondary Device Name: When I searched for the device name, i found it at the page for NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650, which is the GPU I am using now. TurnedOnTimesView shows that the error code is 0x00000000. Not helpful. Is there anything I can do right now? Changing GPU is not an option, I am somewhat broke haha. And no, there is no additional hardware I can swap this out with for testing. Also i remember i saw somewhere that someone suggested underclock the GPU using MSI Afterburner. thing is that it will be reset every time the computer restarts, and i sometimes dont remember to do it. now GPU is underclocked, will wait and see. My build: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard: msi X470 RAM: G.Skill Aegis 2 pieces of 16GB SSD: WD Green 1TB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB edit: i have alrdy unchecked the tickbox for system to restart automatically. so i have no clue how it is still doing that.
  7. OK uninstalled finished. While I was typing this reply, the screen turned off from the status without a driver to how it looked like before, I guess the driver has been installed by itself. Is this normal behaviour, or do I need to DDU it and then disable network and install the driver myself? edit: nope, this didnt work. it happened again, screen just froze and went into black screen. any other thing i can do?
  8. my understanding is that if the GPU is in place, there should be a driver to go along with it? hence my last attempt at it. but well, i will give it a shot now. money problem. maybe in the future i will consider, currently this gpu is doing well (apart from the issues its throwing at me)
  9. So thanks to Linus and his video, I have successfully built my computer one week ago. However, some issues start to surface. Sometimes when the computer is idle, or when I am doing some light work (like document editing or browsing the web), the screen will hang. If I am lucky, about 10 seconds later it will recover; if I am not, it will stay there, until I press the power button to force it to shut down and then restart again. sometimes it will just force a restart. (this never happen when I am playing GPU usage intense games or when I am running GPU stress test btw, not yet anyways.) Usually when this happens, in the event viewer it says that source of error is nvlddmkm, so nvidia driver or the GPU is giving me all these issues. these are what i have done so far: (1) unseated the GPU, reseat it again. (2) uninstall the driver, install it again from nvidia site. this has been done a few times, including install it by using third party software and manually. the last attempt was manual. it brings in the GeForce experience software as well. My final attempt is not going so well however. some mentioned that I will need to uninstall everything from nvidia and geforce (never say anything about installing them back tho). to do that, i will have to remove the gpu, plug the hdmi cable into the motherboard directly, and then using DDU to uninstall. however, when i am trying that, i face another issue: my CPU is ryzen 5 3600, which has no integrated gpu. when i remove the gpu, the computer will not boot, and the vga light will be on. so.. here i am, stuck in a hard place, with no idea what to do. currently the most drastic action is to buy another gpu (returning might be possible, but will be very troublesome), but before i do that, is there anything else i can attempt? edit: forgot to put in the parts. motherboard: MSI X470 Gaming CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 RAM: G.Skill AEGIS 16GB, 2 pieces GPU: GTX1650 PSU: cooler master 750W full modular gold standard (or something like that)
