  1. Point taken on the fans (they were bling for my son anyway)... Upgraded the list to the attached... Ryzen 5 3600 250gn sn550 ssd and 2TB HDD 8gb version of the gpu i know its not going to be perfect at that price point, but better?
  2. Yeah sorry, I fixed that by posting just the link
  3. Budget (including currency): 1300 AUD Country: Aus Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: COD, APEX, Fortnite, Assassins Creed, etc Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Virgin build Based on advice in previous thread and research, have put together the following... thoughts, feedback? https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/z4t7Nq
  4. Thanks for the help so far, a friend suggested this: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/GVHxBZ Thoughts?
  5. Budget (including currency): $1000-1200 (AUD) Country: AUS Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Valorant, COD, Apex, Other details : Currently have nothing, wanting something that will be good as a starting point and allow upgrading in the future... We have a 4K tv he can use as a monitor for the moment, but in the future I know that he would like to move to a 2+ monitor 1440 display. He would need keyboard and mouse and wifi (current house setup doesn't allow for direct connection unfortunately), and would need to have Windows operating system. My son is turning 18 and wants to move to PC gaming (he's been PS4) He's asked for the bits needed to build a decent gaming PC - obviously, once you go down the rabbit hole, it's hard to come back up from it, and tbh neither he nor I fully understand all the bits and pieces and what is going to work best. He found this video which gives the following list of parts: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming TEAMGroup Night Hawk RGB 16GB DDR4 3000MHz AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (can't find this) WD Blue 250GB M.2 SSD WD Blue 1TB HDD Thermaltake V200 TG RGB w/550W PSU which seems to do what he wants it to do, however I can't find some of those parts to source, nor does it come near our budget in AUD (it looked more like 1800 with a couple of substitutions) and it doesn't have operating system or peripherals included. So: Can you recommend to me if that really is a good setup to chase? If so, where can I source parts cheapest? Are there savings that I could make? Or is there a better startup build that I could consider doing for him? Thanks in advance!
