Negative2k99's Achievements

  1. I currently have 2x8gb 3200mhz of ram and am planning on adding 2x32gb 3600mhz. Is it okay to use both pairs or is it better to take out the slower lower capacity ram? They're the same brand if that matters.
  2. I was looking into a good pair of wireless earbuds to wear when I ride my bike. I ride in pretty much all weather and wanted some good quality waterproof earbuds. The ones that have caught my eye are the Jabra elite active 75t and the AKG N400 but wanted to see if anyone on here has any recommendations before I pull the trigger.
  3. I had thought about throwing in a X5670 or something similar just because they are so cheap and it would give me a decent boost. I might go ahead and do that, get a new monitor, and wait until Zen 3 comes out before I upgrade the rest. I can upgrade the PSU if you really think it's necessary(it is old) but I made sure it was one of the best ones I could get at the time. It's 1100 watt with lots of connections. I just don't know the brand because it's been a decade and the cyberpower sticker is covering the label and I don't feel like peeling it off to find the brand.
  4. Yeah, I'm surprised that my CPU has lasted as long as it has. And that I still get decent performance out of it. There hasn't been any game it couldn't handle. Are you sure about the B450? I thought it would hinder the performance of the Zen 3. I don't mind spending a little extra on a motherboard to make sure it can last, is stable, and handle future upgrades. And I want a new case because half the ports on mine don't work and it only has USB gen one.
  5. Budget (including currency): $800 USD Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I'm hoping to run some VR titles like Boneworks and Alyx. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I got a prebuilt cyberpower pc over a decade ago and I've squeezed just about all that I can out of it. At this point I need to get a new case, motherboard, CPU, and Display. I'm thinking about getting a B550 or x570 motherboard, a fractal design define 7 XL case, and a cheap ryzen until I save up for a Zen 3. Or should I upgrade my display first and wait until the zen 3 come out to upgrade the rest? I was thinking about getting a TCL 55 inch QLED 6-Series but wanted to check on here first. Thanks for any advise you can give me.
