Would you recommend it for gaming? I have had problems in the past getting GTA 5 to hold at 60 FPS with a GTX 1070, i7 3930k @ 4.4 GHz, 64 GB DDR3 RAM, and 2 x 240 GB RAID SSDs.

What is the impact of disabling hyper threading? How can you do it on a 3930k?

So I was considering upgrading my X79 based system. I was wondering if it is worth it to replace the graphics card for a RTX 2070. Aside from that, I have had problems getting a constant 60 ish FPS in GTA V on high settings (1080p) and I am not sure what the problem could be. Below are the specs. I am a college student, so I hope to do a full rebuild when I get out. Motherboard: Asus P9x79 Deluxe CPU: Intel I7 3930k (OC to 4.3 GHz) RAM: 64 GB (8x8), DDR3 Corsair Vengeance @ 1600 Graphics: MSI GTX 1070 Storage: OCZ Vertex 3 240 x 2 in RAID (Boot Drive), OCZ Agility 3 120 GB x 2 in RAID Display: Dual monitor setup with DVI and HDMI ports in use.
