  1. I turned off the power supply and disconnected it from the wall.
  2. So I did some stupid things today. After messing with the bios, the PC stop booting up remaining in an constat restart cycle. After that I search of methods to clear the bios. First I took out the CMOS battery and press the power in order to reset the setting. That didn't work out so I found you could flash a new bios version by using Q-Flash with a USB stick without needing the RAM or CPU installed in the MOBO. Now after doing that the PC powered on but didn't POST and I got the CPU light on. In an attempt to fix that I tried to refit the CPU, but now it doesn't power on at all. I removed everything step by step in an attempt to try isolate the problem by nothing came on. I removed everything from the MOBO except the 24 and 8 pins in an attempt to see if the MOBO RGB light come on at least, but nothing. I tried again resetting the Bios in an attempt to see if I could get any power, as by using Q flash the MOBO powers on and then shuts down, but again it didn't work. Did I kill the motherboard? I also read that it could be a CMOS battery problem but I don't think is that, I think I screwed up somehow when I refit the CPU. I don't have any way to test the part separately. PC spec: MOBO: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro V1.0 AMD Ryzen 3700X Sapphire Radeon 5600XT 16 gb ddr4
  3. I just want to know how to get the return value to be verify in the linux terminal, more exactly what is the command ? As an example: I want the value below to appear in the terminal, now using <echo $?> give me sometimes weird values, all values from 0-9 work normally but a value of 451 is represented as 195. I'm using Bash on Fedora 37 return 0;
  4. I wanted to install an play Valorant, but Vanguard trows me the error 9003, now I had enabled secure boot form bios, but for some reason it still refuses to work. I use Windows 11 with a dual boot with Fedora on a Asus FX505DT laptop, bios version 316. I went into the secure tab enable secure boot and reset the key management with factory values, as PK is required for secure boot to work. My only idea left is if Fedora is somehow creating problems with Vanguard and the Secure boot. Any ideas? Edit: I've also enabled secure boot on Fedora, yet vanguard still doesn't want to work.
  5. So, I need to set a scrip in the autostart directory, because as far as i know I can't set the file to autostart via Gnome tweaks. Do you have any idea how I could do it, sorry if. I bother you, I'm just new to Linux and I'm trying to customize, but i don't really know how to set scripts up for now.
  6. Thx a lot with the help there, the only thing i can't figure it out how to set it up to autostart at startup as when conky it set at autostart, it opens with the default theme not the custom one.
  7. So I also made a post regarding autostart of conky which I solved by using Gnome Tweaks, now the mistake that I realized is that i didn't install the theme and widget properly, now every post or tutorial either use .conkyrc or .conky directory as the file directory where the conky.conf should be. When i install conky this directory doesn't create as such conky uses a default theme, but when i create the directory conky doesn't open at all, now this could be because of the lack of the configuration file but it even when i transfer the theme's file to it it still doesn't open. OS: Fedora 37 theme that i want to install is: Pleione by closebox73x
  8. as far as i can search i don't have .profile only a .bash_profile
  9. I install a conky theme and to functions it needs to execute a start.sh file everytime, I want to know if there's a way to automate this and not do it manually. I'm using Fedora 37, also i tried using the `crontab -e` command but ti doesn't work, maybe i jut did the something wrong. I'm still new to linux.
  10. My tenda router keeps disconnecting from the network, I use the Ethernet port from my university campus dorm and it s working fine without any problems but when I am using the same port with mu router it keeps disconnecting stay s up some minutes then it goes down a couple seconds or even minutes.
