Hey man it's been a while but I just felt like saying that I ended up choosing the Rode Podcaster, after looking in to your recommendations I felt like it was worth adding some cash to that budget of mine. So thanks!

Well, companies like 1964 ears have very high quality entry level ciems, generally starting at around 400 usd. If that's still too much to stomach, cosmicears makes a pair for around 200 (I think) but it only has a single balanced armature, in which case you might as well get a decent universal dynamic driver. Remember also that if you have a some universals (like from shure or westone, you can get custom sleeves for them by companies like sensaphonics, which gives you the custom comfort for a much lower price (especially if you already own the unoversals.) -

casserly reacted to thexzenon in Batman vs superman trailer leaks online
He looks robotic cause the movie is based on Batman: The Dark Knight Returns in which these 2 chaps have a small fight and Batman has to wear some kind of armor(or he'd die with one punch...)
Here's the fight from the movie (based on the comic):
(spoiler alert if you want to actually see this movie I guess )
edit: The Batman v Superman movie isn't actually based on, but rather inspired by the comic, my bad

casserly reacted to DeathRtH in Nvidia Shield Console
Its from a more trusted company than the people who made the Ouya, has better hardware, and isn't stated to need replacing yearly. 150MS isn't bad unless your playing competitive games for most people. It's also significalty cheaper than build a PC that would run it at the same settings as streaming it to this.
In the end its probably just not for you. If you just want inhome streaming, Steam has a $50 solution coming out for in home streaming to a TV/etc.
Twice as powerful as the 360, hes believe referring to the Nvidia GRID service allowing you to stream games from their cloud based gaming service, to a less powerful device but retaining the higher resolution and settings of a more powerful machine.

5 times as powerful as the Xbox 360 wasnt it?
Anyway, I think it looks nice. Pretty cool that it can output 4K (video anyway ) and Im a little excited about it

casserly reacted to Prastupok in Galaxy S6 is here, and a looker
The one I've been waiting for, a non-joke of samsung phones... It's not much, but it's enough to sell me.
Only problem is they still insist on using a second-rate physical home key.
"CEO John Legere just tweeted out news confirming that the Uncarrier will be offering Samsung's latest, but didn't offer any details beyond that. Still, the page that Legere linked to has a pretty clear shot of the S6's curved display. From the front, it looks a lot like the Note Edge — though it's been rumored that both sides of this screen will feature the unique curve."
Needless to say... I'm excited.

casserly reacted to Kukielka in Dell U3415W (Ultra-Widescreen 21:9 Curved 34" Gaming-Monitor)
First of all, Thanks!
I came from 1x 27" 1080p + 1x24" 1080p, Mostly for work (developer, not graphic intense) + gaming. Very little backlightbleed, I'm quite surprised to be honest, if my room is dark + a black screen you can see bleed in the upper right and lower left corner, it's not too noticeable though. I'm not a progamer, but playing bf4 is awesome (linus would say immersive). I don't feel like dragging a cursor through mud with 60fps 5ms. -

casserly reacted to typographie in Switching between integrated and discrete graphics
I'm fairly sure that most motherboards will automatically disable the onboard graphics if it detects a discrete video card plugged in. I think both sets of drivers will coexist peacefully on the system without needing to juggle them. If not, at least you'll know what to try first.
