How did you spray it? Did you hang it some where? Were there any Issues with the holes in the mesh getting filled with paint?

It all sounds a bit risky in case I fuck it up, bit different to painting a few fan rings.

Hang the mesh with fishing line or dental floss from one corner and keep your spraying very light and even like a moderate dusting with each pass. Prime it lightly with white then do light layers of green until you have the desired color. Keep in mind that you can always add more, but taking away is the hard part.

for me i didnt prime it or what.... i just sprayed the mesh while its resting on a flat ground.... no issues or what so ever.. wish i cld take a pic to show u... but i sold off the case already....

Just take out the mesh spray a coat of white than finish it with some neon green spray paint.....would add more to the aesthetics and theme of your build.

i really think the pink makes that case look really good 

i have seen to many builds in the prodigy and so i know that isn't really a small case it just seems sold as one lol but i don't know what the s3 is so i guess I'm off to google that

S3 its actually an itx case from Caselabs...... 

So... After painting that air 540 pink you are changing cases? or are you throwing the z87 stinger into it???

changing case, now pondering between 2 choices... s3 or the prodigy... one no mod needed the latter need a lot of mods done... as i hate to stock handle.

Why change to a lower cpu when you allready have it? Ofcourse it all depends on your girl - if she doesn't game the newer titles and doesn't care to much about performance. Then sure! 

 

Aswell, I suggested to paint the Corsair 540 like you did to somebody else in new builds & planning section, but he was from the UK. Sadly, I could not find the paint you used. Aswell, did you use anything else? 

It was for an nvidia build so his color was green, but I doubt that mathers! 

Can't wait to see more off this tho. 

 

Lol... it actually the same cpu.. just had the box there might as well put it in the pic together....

i did saw the post,  nope just that one colour... alternatively he cld spray the mesh white as a base than spray with green later...

im trying to rush to get the things done.... but sadly work comes first.. 

New Hardwares...still the 4670K... prolly change to a lower cpu... maybe

Unfortunately due to the size of the carbide 540 i had to discard the build in the current case, as i got an offer for the caselabs M8 which cld make my ideas feasible if i were to do it in the M8.

Apologies to all who were looking forward to the finishing of the carbide case..

So a 670 waterblock fits on a 760? And what are the plans for that bottom you cut out? 

yup some 760 can reuse the 670blocks... its for a lightbox ...

its made out of white acrylic for the case and a thick clear acrylic and line white leds...

will update with pics later....

this will look epic with pink UV watercooling...

nah surprisingly hte uv pink wont look so pink and i never fancy uv coolants....

sorry for the slow updates of stuffs as busy with work and some other stuffs... hopefully there will be more frequent updates...

So, I think we are missing something here. You're building your girl a computer that's not for gaming using a Sabretooth board, and pink paint. The Sabretooth is a gaming board and a military base theme. How does that match up with pink? I think you're just throwing this board in her build so you can get the board you really wanted for yourself. ;) Smart man.

almost there, thou this will be her rig... i be using it to game too.. since my own rig is still in the planning stages.... and also sabertooth  has that armour which fits into my purely dominant black theme for the build.... no need custom an acrylic cover for the mb, no need thinking for either wrapping or colouring the heatsinks and the current look of the pcb for the others boards i have in mine is brown thou it wont be seen but i know its brown...  

Looks good, but why did you chose such a thin rad for the front? You can easily fit a full size 60mm rad there

why due to the mods i will do the case.... which i will show later in build log...

try to work out and fine tune the idea now....
