Probably not enough bandwidth, I highly doubt an older card like that has newer HDMI versions that support 4K 144/120.
Edit: cable bandwidth might not be enough.

It only need a 6+2 pcie cable.
Some cards are just more power hungry so they require more connectors.

6+2 = 8 pin, for PCIe power cables.

Even without the pictures (they seem to have not loaded in), it's doubtful that you messed something up. The ends are keyed so that you can't plug them into the wrong place, and with a non modular power supply, you can't have put the wrong end into the graphics card.

Moreover, most PSUs have labelled cables, so you probably saw the one that said "PCIe" and guessed correctly where it went

Edit: now that I see the pictures, I don't see anything wrong with the way you plugged it in.

If the card takes an 8-pin, then connect an 8-pin PCI-E cable to it.
If it takes only a 6-pin, plug only a 6-pin in.

One card brand and mode will vary from one another.
The Sapphire Pulse 5600 XT may only need one 8-pin, while the NITRO+ 5600XT is two 8-pins.

Most PSUs use a 6+2 cable configuration these days -- can work at as 6-pin or an 8-pin cable.
(Back then, you had separate 6-pin and 8-pin cables...that just got rats nest cable messy...)

    It's keyed
You can't plug it the wrong way so don't worry about that. It only goes in one way.

You plug the 20+4 pin together.

Hey I just wanted to update everyone thanks for all your help. I canceled the gigabyte order and got the sapphire pulse model instead. I'm happy I did because it's the same price as the gigabyte model without the rebate, and who really has the time to wait for it to come back. I just have to wait an extra day but I think it will be well worth it, and now I have Amazon's return policy instead of Neweggs crappy policy, thank you all

wegoodtbh got a reaction from Slayerking92 in Sold windows 10computer, can't remember if completely wiped drive or not
So I finally sold my old prebuilt (windows 10) to move on to build my own computer today. I was happy to get rid of it and get the money, until I realized I didn't check to see if my files were erased completely before I sold it. Now I am lowkey freaking out I can't lie. So last night was when I reset the computer, but I was intoxicated when I did it lol so I can't really remember what setting I picked to reset it on. I am 95% sure I completely reset everything, but that 5% is killing me right now, because there is an option just to reset windows and keep your files.

But anyway, I was hoping if there was some way you guys can help me identify which option I picked by my specs or by how long it took to reset lol. I am pretty sure I selected the remove everything including personal files and with data erasure on (the option that says it may take hours). The rest seemed like it took forever, it took like 20 minutes to reach 8%, and my computer was a decently fast computer. I was not there to see it finish as I fell asleep around 20%. When I woke up, I had to create a new user and account and password to use the computer. The home screen was empty and I had to put in the wifi password for my old accounts. It seemed like I only had like internet explorer and the other basic apps. If anyone can provide input if they've reset an windows computer and selected the reset but keep files option or if they can tell buy how long it took please let me know. Sorry if this is against the rules or a dumb post lol

    if you stream, go 1660
    if you wont go 5600
and for which to pick, generally i think that taking a look at the reviews is good enough

I'd go for a CX 550m for a build like this it's a decent PSU with more than enough wattage. And if you can spend a bit more you can get a 5600xt it is on par with the RTX 2060. You get much more performance for your money this way.
So your build would look like this:
And looking at your current PSU, it more than enough tbh (between tier B and C, which is enough for the specs of your build) you can keep it and still get the most out of your PC. And don't worry about overclocking, it's not worth putting the effort into it. Your 3600 boosts really aggressively near it's limits anyways, and GPUs have GPU boost which is also pretty aggressive.

M.2 don't disable your SATA ports. It may disable one or two on some motherboards in some conditions, but for sure not all. Read manual.

Don't worry about pcie slots - you have more than one and for sure you'll not buy pcie slot m2. Even if - you'll be fine.

I thought the same about the gigabyte board. I am probably just going to return it and keep the MSI instead. Thank you for your response
