  1. That is the main problem with building it now, it would not be ´´now´´, I am guessing this shortage of PC parts is going to run for various months and by the time I can actually get the parts, I would be closer to waiting less than a year for the new motherboards and all the last gen parts would not be supported for that new motherboards. I know I am getting ahead of having any real information to do the assumption but I don´t want to have a X570 motherboard in 3 years from now and be stuck with an ´´old´´ Zen 3 CPU by that time. I want the future upgrade path to be opened with my starting setup. Since I don't have that much experience from past generations transitions, I want to know how would a Socket transition impact future upgrades based off from previous iterations.
  2. Hi guys, I am planning to build my first gaming PC ever and have been reading a lot about it these last months. My actual PC is more than 10 years old and can´t even raise fps of newer games beyond 5 fps. I am planning to build it AMD based and am trying to aim for a long run for it without any mayor upgrades down the line as to replace basic stuff like Motherboard, GPU, or even CPU if no significant upgrades happen that make actual game requirements obsolete. I realized we are at the end of the life cycle of the AM4 socket since AMD filled the 5 year support they promised for the socket and is launching the Zen 3 later this year. I was wondering if it would be actually a good idea to buy a series 500 motherboard since any future CPU upgrades past Zen 3 would most likely be aimed towards a new socket/motherboards not yet available. You would be stuck on Zen 3 for the rest of your motherboard´s life cycle (depending of how many years this generation of motherboards actually last). Do you think it would be better to wait for the next generation motherboards or buy a B550/X570 now (given they are out of stock and most likely will be for a very long time either way) ?
