  1. I just got attack by this ransomware yesterday. Did not notice it initially when I was just using the computer as normal. After I wanted to open up a file I found out that everything was too late. Any experts here could possibly decrypt it? Or any kind attackers who is reading this will give me back my data as I am just a student with no money and important school files that need to be submitted.
  2. I will try again when i have the time. Thanks.
  3. It is a acer aspire vn7-592G laptop. Trying to clone using windows.
  4. I've used mini partition and clonezilla. Both have the same results. I'll try using reflet.
  5. I cloned a sata ssd to a nvme ssd and everything seems fine. But i cant get the laptop to recognise it as a bootable device, i tried changing the legacy and uefi settings but nothing work. I can still boot form the old ssd but not the new one. And i cant seems to boot the old ssd from another laptop that should have worked. Please help.
  6. The m.2 is nvme capable. I think the m.2 on the board might be only sata. But wont it just go sata if no nvme is there?
  7. I wanted to upgrade my laptop to a ssd. It has a m.2 slot and it can fit the ssd nicely. The laptop is am Asus a542u, model number x542uf. And the m.2 ssd is a manufactured by hp. After i plugged it in, there's no sign that the m.2 has been connected, not in the bios nor in windows disk management. I flashed the bios to the newest version from asus but it didn't work. I know the ssd is good cause it can be detected by one of my acer laptop. I suspect the m.2 connector is bad, but there's no sign that the motherboard had been damaged.
