  1. Oh they are? I had no idea! I thought they were different based on the price
  2. Hello! I recently bought a Valve Index and I absolutely love it. I really want to get the full VR experience and go all out with full body tracking. I could technically use the Base Stations I got from Valve, but I only have 2 and I've heard it's best to have at least one or two more Base Stations for the best experience. Of course the Valve Base Stations are out of stock- but I've heard you can use the HTC Base Station 2.0s to work with Valve's hardware. I'm just not sure what to buy here. Current setup: Valve Index Headset Two Index Controllers 2 Valve Base Stations What I want to purchase (if it would all work together): HTC Base Station 2.0 3x HTC VIVE Tracker Thank you all!
  3. Hey all! I don't know too much about networking so I'm coming here for help. I just recently started getting a message in all of my Wi-Fi menu's saying the following: Weak Security WPA/WPA2 (TKIP) is not considered secure. If this is your Wi-Fi network, configure the router to use WPA2 (AES) or WPA3 security type. Not sure what exactly all this means (I'll be doing some of my own research) but if anyone here knows just give me a shout! Thanks!
  4. Hey all! I've been working out all the kinks in my new build plan and cooling is a bit of an issue. The case I want to get, the Corsair 220T, has radiator mounting support as follows: Back / 120mm Top / 240mm Front / 360mm or 280mm I was planning on getting a 360mm radiator and front mounting it. However, the only way to do this is to have the tubes coming out of the rad at the top and going down towards the CPU, as is shown in many of the product images. I've heard this is something I want to avoid, but I can't find any other way I'd be able to do this. The cooler I chose, the Kraken Z, comes in 360mm or 280mm configurations. So I'm thinking about picking a different casem but I have no idea where to start looking. I want a white one to go with the rest of my setup which doesn't help the searching process lol Thanks!
  5. Figured- I'll have to do some more research and see, thanks!
  6. Do you know of any good ones that are < $400?
  7. Hey everyone! Hope you all had a nice weekend. I'm setting out to purchase a Christmas gift for my friend- and I really wanted to do something cool for him this year. So I wanted to get him a VR headset as well as two more sticks of Trident Z (he only has two slots filled at the moment). I was looking at the Oculus Quest 2 as it falls nicely into my budget but I actually haven't heard too much about it; does anyone know of any good reviews/ers or own it themselves? And if you know anything about it, does it have good performance for the price? Thanks!
  8. I recently purchased a whole bunch of RGB strip lights to go around my desk, windows, doors, whole room, etc. Each package comes with 2 strips that when connected total out to 32.8ft. I got 6 of these individual strips (3 packs)- I needed a little under 4 to get around my room, one for my desk, and one for my window (this is all for now). Each strip is identical, with an input for power, and two passthroughs, one on each end. You can connect all of the strips together, but they seem to lose power after 2; so it's recommended that, if you're using more than 2 strips at a time, you put a new power brick every two strips to supply the necessary power. Each set of lights comes with one PSU. So- I'm using two of these power bricks to power the lights going around my room, and one for the desk. I need a third for my remaining strip, but I don't know where to start looking. I got the model number of the included power brick (CW1203500), and now have all the basic specs. I would like to purchase something from Amazon if possible (shipping reasons, and I have Prime). I looked up 12 volt units and got a bunch of results- most of them stating they can be used for strip lights like the ones I've purchased. [Example 1, Example 2] However, none of the reviews mention this- so I'm looking for more opinions- especially when working with any kind of power, something I'm not very educated in, I want to be as safe as possible (for my sake as well as my lights). I'll be attaching images of anything I can think of if it helps! [Image 1: PSU in question] [Image 2: Front end of strips with power input/passthrough] [Image 3: End of strip with 2nd passthrough]
  9. I'm thinking I'll probably get the 360 just for peace of mind and looks, the case I'm going to be using supports a 240mm at the top or a 360/280mm at the front. It would definitely look better with the whole front covered by the rad
  10. I plan on overclocking a bit, not sure how intensely though
  11. The title is pretty self explanatory- but I'm planning on purchasing a 5950x (whenever they get restocked) and I'm also getting an NZXT AIO to go with it. I should also note I'll probably be replacing the stock fans with some 2 140mm fans from Corsair (Or 120mm if I go with a triple rad) The question is- will this CPU need a 280 or a 360mm radiator? Thanks! Edit: it was a 280, not 240mm rad! My bad! (I wasn't writing what I was thinking)
  12. That's what I figured, it's totally just a curiosity thing though
