  2. Whenever I upgrade a friend's computer the first thing I do is put a low capacity ssd for their OS. A lot of the time that is all I do. It's nice to have the ssd's on hand so they don't have to wait 2 days on Amazon.
  3. I recently bought a sager np7339, and since i am going to remove the 1tb hdd and only use the 2 msata slots i was thinking on what i could use that extra space for. It occurred to me that aaa batteries would fit in that slot (13 to be exact) and I was wondering if anyone might have some information on how feasible it would be to hook up rechargeable aaa batteries (either standard sanyo eneloops at 1.2volt or some lipo aaa size batteries at 3.6ish volts). Would it be better to hook them up for 11 ish volts (the sager batteries rating) and put them in parallel with the main battery, or wire them for 20volts and put them on the other side of the charging circuits (im assuming software would tell me that my laptop was always charging if i went this route.

  6. Not really a fan of the looks of these cards, seem a little over the top (especially the one with the plastic carbon fiber led treatment) but upgrading from my 660ti would be nice (could give my 660ti to a friend for his bday).
  7. really like the battery life of the z2 and been looking at dbrand skins for my friends htc one m8 or my n4 for a while now.
  8. Im really digging the signatures and the full hd ips screen, nice speakers is always a good thing as well.
  9. You should give luke your htc one (m7)
  10. At the end of the video it is cut a bit late and we get to see normal, not bouncy, Linus. Just thought you should know.
  11. The other option I was thinking of was to put the ap181's in push and just have a passive thick 2x140mm rad in the top of the case (can fit a 60mm thick rad in the top of the define r4) but then i would be loosing the moduvents (noise isolating panels that cover the fan holes in the top). Do you think it would be quieter to have 2 sets of ap181's in the front in a push, pull/push config (again with them running at about 850rpm) And btw the idea for flow was seriel from tube res/d5 combo that will be mounted to the front radiator and the flow will be serial with the flow being from the pump/res into the two rads, out of the two rads, into the gcard, into the cpu, out of the cpu out of the gcard and back into the bottom of the res. I Wish that I could make the res part of the loop for air bubble reasons but the only ascetically pleasing ways i could think of doing that would be to have the loop come to the front of the case between the gcard and the cpu and with that tight of runs it would have to be done in acrylic tube witch is a bit of an investment (ie fittings required to make the straight lines required).
  12. I have been planing on putting two of the nexxxos dual 180mm radiators with a pair of silverstone ap 181 in the middle of them, I have a define r4 with all the drive cages removed (including the optical drive cage). I was wondering if this would be the optimal setup for silence. My idea is that the rads on either side of the fans will help block the noise of the fans. The system that this will be cooling is a 3570k oced to 4.2 and a 780 (haven't gotten the 780 yet but planing on ocing it at least a bit. The biggest question I have I guess is will the ap 181's have enough static pressure and airflow to cool the system without running too fast (under 850 to 900 rpm would be nice).
  13. Are you using the define r4 window or are you making your own window?
