Good move! 👏👏
Lot's of people didn't have your foresight, and are kicking themselves.
Maybe buy it then, but really it's up to you. It might be a while before stock and prices stabilize.

The Windows 10 licence hooks into the hardware (mainly the motherboard) of your system. If it recognizes the hardware has been changed it will need to be reactivated again.

Avoid Razer audio like the plague. XM4 aren't exactly worth it either, but at least you'll get half decent headphones.

This. Plus the same article also says, that it is not sure that AIB partners even have to follow it. I personally wouldn't worry about the connectors at the moment.

Fzero reacted to Semper in Buying power supply before ampere coming out
The most recent news I have on it is from 15 days ago, says that it's very much a thing that has been submitted for validation, but has not been approved at this point in time, nor has it been expressly stated as anything but internal testing.

If there's new information on it (which is entirely possible), I've not seen it.

Didn't the author of that article say that the 12 pin is just a joke?
Don't worry about it. Even if the 12 pin ended up being real, they'll probably include some sort of adapter or something. I doubt every consumer will end up being forced to buy a new PSU for ampere.

My understanding is the 12-pin connector is purely internal testing at this point.
It's also my understanding that there will be a 6+6 adapter that will be included, when/if it's implemented.
That said, without knowing the rest of your build, I find it unlikely at best that you're in a situation where you need a 1k unit.
