GTXTITAN reacted to boggy77 in Have I wasted my money?
does it matter what other people see it like or consider it like? does it matter that it becomes "mid-range" if you're happy with it and does everything you need it to?

GTXTITAN reacted to Mad153 in Legit question

GTXTITAN reacted to iBabySlapper in For real though...Would you buy a Razer toaster?
My toaster is one I got for free when my friend closed up their cafe.
Safe to say I wouldn't spend more than £0 on a toaster unless there was an emergency.

GTXTITAN reacted to AxelDed in Luckiest find I ever got
I don't know if this is the right place to post but today I just got super lucky on a parts hunt. I got my hand on a PC that is one of those mythical "this PC was given to me by my uncle so I just wanna sell it". It started on a post on Facebook, it was a PC that was so out of place for 400 bucks (287usd when converted). It only stated that it has an i5 4690k and a GTX 970 with a blurry photo of the insides. But then I saw the case and knew it was something special. I contacted the seller and oh my god with I open it. It. Was. So freaking. DIRTY. But while I was cleaning, I slow uncovered surprise after surprise. It dawn to me that I just bought what seem to be a near high end PC from 2015 or 2016. Inside it was actually a i5 4690k, 8GB (2x4) 2400mhz ripjaw x, an AsRock Z97 anniversary motherboard, a Leadtek GTX 970 and a beefy 600w semi modular PSU. I was so excited and the PC turn out really good after a fresh windows installation on a new SSD. Was thinking to change the case but then I found out that the case but I don't know. The cooler master storm scout 2 kinda looks dope at.
PS: it took me the entire freaking day to clean everything. Yes, it was that dirty

GTXTITAN reacted to Mateyyy in 3000 NVidia + PCIE 3.0 or 4.0?
I doubt it'll make a noticeable difference whether you're on PCIe 4.0 or PCIe 3.0 16x.

GTXTITAN reacted to Alltheshots in Its Been a Long Time
Its been about 15 years since I built a computer and recently I decided to do it again and set a budget of £800 (that did not last long) and ended up paying just over £1000. I just finished a build with the intention of using it for photography, video editing and a little gaming on the side.
Case: Corsair Carbide spec delta
PSU: EVGA 750 BQ
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600
MOBO: Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite
RAM: 32GB HyperX Fury 3200
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1660 6GB oc
SSD: Sabrent Rocket Q 1TB M.2
This is all running stock with no plans to overclock but a couple of upgrades are in the works.
So other than being ripped off on the price, how did I do?
(I know the GPU mounting screws are missing in the picture, I did put them in after the pic was taken)

GTXTITAN reacted to Mateyyy in new i3 vs "old" i5?
It beats the Comet Lake i3s by a decent margin, but it's not even close to beating, or even matching the 10400.

GTXTITAN reacted to spiroulis in RX 570 or GTX 1650
Thank you all for your replies. If i manage to squeeze in the extra 20-30euros do you guys think a gtx 1650 super is an even better choice than the rx570?

GTXTITAN reacted to eeeee1 in FPS Isn't Preforming Well for my Specs
i wouldn't call a 5700xt or 2700x top of the line but if you aren't happy, csgo is heavily cpu bound. make sure nothing else is running such as recording and streaming. also what is your cooler?

GTXTITAN reacted to Radium_Angel in I just ordered a new HDD, is it SMR? Is it a problem for me?
Nope. SMR is an issue for RAID. Since you are not using RAID in your laptop, no worries.
-
GTXTITAN reacted to Jurrunio in I just ordered a new HDD, is it SMR? Is it a problem for me?
Likely SMR since it has way too much cache for PMR at 2TB, but if you treat the HDD like a storage room you visit twice per year then it doesnt really matter

GTXTITAN reacted to flopana in I just ordered a new HDD, is it SMR? Is it a problem for me?
In a request to Seagate they said that the following drives use SMR
Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM008 (3,5 Zoll, 7.200 U/min, SATA) Seagate Barracuda 4TB ST4000DM004 (3,5 Zoll, 5.400 U/min, SATA) Seagate Barracuda 8TB ST8000DM004 (3,5 Zoll, 5.400 U/min, SATA) Seagate Desktop HDD 5TB ST5000DM000 (3,5 Zoll, 5.900 U/min, SATA) I have it from a german source

Edit:
Here is a table from Seagate themself
https://www.seagate.com/internal-hard-drives/cmr-smr-list/#
you got a 2.5" drive so no it should definitely not have smr

GTXTITAN reacted to Gandek in Glorious Model O- | Mini-review
I've been using the Glorious Model O- which I picked up at Microcenter for $60 about 6 months ago and it's been a great purchase. First off here are my history of "gaming" mice so you can get a better idea of what I liked and didn't in the past
Logitech G602
Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum (Still use it as a secondary mouse for productivity stuff)
Zowie EC2-A
Razer DeathAdder Elite (Loose scroll wheel ended up returning it)
Logitech G305 (Returned it and got the Model O- , Wireless performance didn't seem to be that great as it was touted and the liftoff distance was too high)
I wanted to get something wireless at first and reading how far the G305 has gone since the days of the G602 I wanted to give it a try + I really liked the minimal design of it, but I ended up being disappointed with it and typical Logitech issues like liftoff distance being too high pretty much made it a no go for me when it comes to playing shooters. The stock feet on the O- are also miles better than what Logitech has to offer. The Model O- doesn't have these issues and feels basically wireless with its cord. I have not had any performance issues with this thing and it handles any fast movement like a champ. My past mouse for FPS was the Zowie EC2-A which was also a champ the advantage with the O- is that lightness, cord, and much better scroll wheel which I can actually use for other things if I dont want to plug in my G502. The only issues with this mouse that you get used to are the slightly wobbly M1 and M2 buttons however over time they didn't get any worse at least for me.
