NLamki reacted to Somerandomtechyboi in Air cooled --> Liquid Cooled.
If you want better cooling just ziptie an aio to the gpu, custom loop is mostly just a waste of money for aesthetics unless you build a beefy one with beefy rads or boatloads of rads
Though youd also need to strap a fan to cool the other parts of the gpu like vrms and vram

I'd sell the card and buy better.
But then again I'm too lazy for a custom water cooling.

NLamki got a reaction from saad2019 in Windows 10 PC randomly wakes up from sleep mode
I had the same issue on my laptop, after months of researching and testing, I realized my table was 2 degrees off of centre (the right side was lower than left) and that would cause my mouse to move a bit and wake my pc up. When I say move, more like vibrate, not actual movements.
the only solution I found was to unplug the mouse before going into sleep mode, try slowly unplugging whatever is connected via usb cable and see if that helps.

NLamki reacted to cacoe in C drive upgrade
The best way of doing this would be create a temporary folder on your new drive when you have Windows installed, selectively copy everything over you want to keep and format the old drive at that point, and just move that stuff back again.

NLamki reacted to da na in Water cooling a GPU, help needed.
Water cooling a GPU is definitely a very high end solution, and is very much an investment. But it is worth it if you can pay for it. The best way to watercool it is with a waterblock.

NLamki got a reaction from HazelRen in Changing motherboard MSI B450M Mortar Max to ROG B450-F Gaming II does it need to format?
I changed my cpu and gpu and had no activation issues, as soon as I changed mobo it asked me to reactivate it.

Because that was three hardware changes in total. The mobo was the straw that broke the camel's back.

NLamki got a reaction from Letgomyleghoe. in How did you get a graphics card?
Bought mine from a physical store. I paid $650 for an Rtx 3070 (Zotac twin edge OC). I did this as soon as I heard that the prices would rise due to the shipping thing in USA. Turns out, $650 was a great price as they're selling the 3060 for $1000. I personally know the store owner and says that the price of a 3060 (from his supplier) is about 800-900 depending on..... (I forgot)

NLamki reacted to tikker in Crypto-related questions.
That's pretty much full on crypto already. In the case of Bitcoin and Ethereum the ledgers are public and everybody can view transactions where you see the source wallet and target wallet.
I think this would be difficult, because you are now making it an actual currency and adding an additional hoop for people to jump through and will need to push shops to accept it. Instead of paying with dollars (a single step, fiat > payment) or crypto (two steps, fiat > crypto > payment) directly, you are now asking people to do a triple step process fiat > crypto > bank money > payment, or introducing just another crypto as a means of payment, for which there are working alternatives (e.g. Stellar or Nano to name two).
However, what you describe sounds similar to what they are trying to do with the digital euro/dollar/whatever that they're planning to start with soon, so perhaps you can find something there.

NLamki got a reaction from Slayerking92 in Crypto-related questions.
Long story short, I have to find a way to convince a bank that creating their own cryptocurrnecy is a good idea, If I'm able to achieve that, they will give me a 6 month paid internship with them. So pls help me, I need a job as soon as I leave college lol. Btw, I have done some research, these are just questions I still haven't understood.
My questions are:
If you make a crypto currency, how would you get it on the market? I.e. How can the bank be able to put it up on a business such as coinbase for example I read that the coins are made through mathamatical equations, can someone breifly but clearly explain this? Is it like "1+1=2" is a coin? Wtf is a token???? Also, could a bank artificailly control the price of the coin by controlling the availbility of it or does all the coins have to be made in order to sell it? (Like can the bank just make 100 coins and publish the coin and add 100 every year or so OR would they have to drop all the coins all at once). Thank you for the help, and I am aware that this probably isn't the right place to ask this but honestly, I prefer this forum over any other forum.
If you help, I'll find a way to help you too. 🙂

NLamki reacted to Skiiwee29 in Case fan suggestions
Good airflow, yes. I use them on radiators in my custom loop and they provide good airflow.
No, you will need to get a Commander Pro to control the fans and Lighting Node Pro for the RGB and then hook them into your motherboard via USB 2 header to control them.

Idk. I live in a place where AC isn't widely used. I wouldn't imagine that it would get that dirty, only dusty 🙂

NLamki reacted to bowrilla in Cleaning Radiator
Radiators aren't picky with what you use to clean. There's no risk of sucking in small components (unlike with other parts). Just be careful not to handle it too roughly or you might damage it (ranging from optical damages like bent fins to potential leaks)

NLamki reacted to Skiiwee29 in G502 lightspeed or Model O ?
If you're hands are that large, the G502 is good length wise, but width wise I think you would find the mouse uncomfortable. I would look at the Zowie EC2 or the Model D over the 502 or Model O.

You don't even need a product key if you're reusing the PC.

By the way, my wife has the crazy mix of alcohol, vinegar and something else that she made up for the kitchen counters. It's now become my official go to rad cleaner. She knows nothing of it.

NLamki reacted to Prodigy_Smit in High temps on 5600x
Most of these are overkill.
Go with a U12s or a hyper 212. If you want the maximum cooling then go with the sythe fuma 2 which is like a cheap NHD15 equivalent.

Look for an Rtx 2080 or 2080super in the used market.

NLamki reacted to Sarra in Will this motherboard work with the 5000 series?
My ASrock board required me to download a ZIP file, unpack it, copy the file to a FAT32 formatted Thumb Drive, reboot with it plugged in, go into the BIOS, and update the BIOS from the file on the thumb drive.

NLamki reacted to MatthiewGallant in Will this motherboard work with the 5000 series?
bios update definately. make sure to use 1 stick of ram to start, may not support dual channel right away until you update bios
