i have had this computer many years and its been through many updates but right now i am running this
asRock x399 phantom gaming mb
amd threadripper 1900x cpu
650 watt gold rated psu
geil evopotenza ddr4 3200 ram
1920/1080 60 hz screen
and i just upgraded ? from a msi gtx750 to a msi rx 5700
here is my issue in a lot of games seemingly on low or high settings are getting bad fps drops
borderlands 3 , fortnite is very bad and even csgo will drop on occassion its literally worse than my gtx750 in fortnite
gpu load is 70 to 90 percent at high settings in fortnite cause that is what im trying to play
and on low settings its 40 to 55 percent usage
temps are around 60 to 65 degrees on gpu while trying to play on high settings
i clean reinstalled windows and reinstalled all drivers / games
reflashed bios with latest update
set ram to run closer to 3200 rather than 2133
as you can probably tell i am not extremely good with this crap mostly just want good fps in games
should i return card and buy a gtx 1080 like my brothers pc?
am i expecting too much from this card? i would have thought it could run at least better than my gtx750
